I took this class as an online course. I really enjoyed Dr. Skeel as an instructor. He was more engaged than the average online class professor, commenting on discussion board posts, redirecting when we lost the thread and genuinely happy and excited when someone really nailed an example. I would definitely recommend him as an instructor.

It's a typical online class, so the same format follows. You have discussion boards weekly, weekly quizzes, and bi-weekly exams. They're easy as long as you read the chapters.

Dr. Skeel is a nice professor. The class is simple, as in everything you need to do is laid out for you and there is no excuse to not to get your work done. He doesn't grade tough, but you must read in order to pass tests. The quizzes are usually open book and note.

Overall, I'd say he is a great prof. I was expecting an easier A in PSY100, but it was still easy. He covers almost everything you need to know for the exams in class, but not all so you must read the chapters assigned (he tells you this). Grading scale is a bit tough, but do some EC studies for a grade cushion and you will get an A for sure.

Most boring teacher I have ever had at central. You have to go to class everyday. An easy class except the final paper. My final paper was 18 pages had 15 sources and only managed a c+. I don't recomend taking this class with this prof.

If you can sort through all the "ahhh"'s and "uhh"'s he does, this class will be a breeze. It's sometimes fun to keep a tally of how many times he says uh or ahh. Once I counted 56 times in 15 minutes.

two hours of lecture were relatively unboring from day to day. mixes it up with videos. tests were fair. does tend to try to mix it up with group work which was a waste of time imo.

Tests are hard. Go to class, read the book, and take lots of notes-- you'll be fine. Class can get pretty boring, but hang in there. He's better than a lot of other psychology professors. I dropped Ray and switched to Reid. Very glad I switched. It's fun to hear stories about his kid, and he's hot.
