I'll admit, I missed more class than I wanted to, but he honestly tried to help me catch up and succeed. Even with that help, it was still a super-tough class and the textbook was complicated and confusing. Great prof though, tries to make a boring subject interesting and funny.

the best and friendliest English professor at the university, hands down. You have to be at class and read the books. its English classes I am talking about here after all... but grades incredibly fairly. if you fail any of his courses you haven't been to class and you have not been reading.

Lectures sometimes felt unorganized and didn't flow well. Expects participation and gives marks for it so show up to class and be ready to share your ideas. Has reading tests so read the books! Marking was fair on tests and papers. Willing to help if you need it. Test was hard (short answers and an essay in 1hr) but the final exam wasn't too bad.

Super nice, very clear, grades reflect the work you put in. In-class essays are not my strong area but all of my grades were A-range. Love his classes.

Amazing. His lectures are by far the most interesting I've attended. However, there is A LOT to learn in his classes, and he grades somewhat harshly. I'm always torn when I see he's teaching a class-I want to take it, but I'm not sure my GPA can handle it. In the past he's been great help. When my life was rough, he understood + extended deadlines.

He is sooo hard and really hard to understand the point he's trying to get across. He isn't very approachable and he makes it awkward when asking questions that no one understands

Well - I can't say that I loved taking a dramatic literature course in the first place, but thankfully it was Kramer, who made the experience absolutely fabulous. Even material you're not fond of will shine when he's teaching. If you're an EN major, you'll want to take as many of his courses as you can.

Super interesting course. Kramer knows his stuff and does a great job of teaching it. I only wish there were more film courses with him - probably the most positive experience I have had in either degree.

With Kramer, either you love him or you hate him. He knows his stuff, but isn't always the best at explaining it. He asks the class questions, but class is still lecture-based. Kind, but not ultra warm or friendly. Jokes around somewhat. Can be annoying. Religion and irony are big themes. Somewhat easier marker.

Not a Micky Mouse course for those looking for an easy mark. Dr. Kramer is very intelligent with high expecations from his students. He provides all the tools necessary to do a good job, wants you to do well, is approachable, and has loaned books to help in weak areas (ie poetry). He packs lots of valuale information intoa class! Excellent prof.

Worst prof possible. He will do anything to make someone fail. He is not helpful at all. He is the only person who is ever right yet he makes you tell him your opinions then he tells you that they are wrong. Also, he is creepy. Terrible, shouldn't be allowed to teach.

One of the best profs I had at BU. Can be a tough-marker, but makes clearer sense of complicated academic theories than any prof I've ever had (even at grad school). Every Eng Major should take his Contemporary Critical Theory course if you plan on going on to grad school (PoMo Lit is also recommended).

Of all the professors at BU, he is one of the best teachers. He is spooky smart, but really funny and really open and he will, and does, bend over backwards to help students. Take every course you can with Dr. Kramer

He references every story to the Bible (it got sickening after awhile). He's not at all afraid to give a really bad grade. Ive seen smart ppl fail his class. He's one sided and seems to give bad grades to ppl he doesnt like.
