Terrible professor. She is extremely condescending and rude. Her marking is very inconsistent. She will deduct points off one essay for one reason, like the title being too long and then when you shorten the title for your next essay she says it isnt detailed enough. Very unapproachable if you ask for extra help, or if you miss class.

She will force you to answer a question, then make you feel stupid for what you say. Hardest grader I have ever met, especially for a first year course. If you don't have the same opinion as her, you're not going to make it. My major is English but will avoid taking another one of her classes ever again!!

I was on the principals list in high school, all of my english courses were 95's or higher. Coming into her class, I failed almost every written paper. I went to the english society for extra help, and even her but still failed. When I talked to her at the end of the semester, I was told I was stupid and I shouldn't come back to the University.

I do not recommend her at all she marks way to hard for a 1st year o passes grade 12 with an 89 in honors English English when I got my first paper back it was an F i NEVER got anything below a B in English. When i asked her what was wrong she said I had way to may comma spices I asked her what that was all she said did you take grade 12 English

My department shrugged their shoulders at me because they couldn''t relate to my thesis topic. Rhoda''s been there for me. Guided me supported me and agreed to supervise me. As a professor, if I were to describe Zuk in one word it would simply be useless. She is rude, incapable of obtaining concern for her students and horribly difficult on her students. If one decides to take this class, she will strive for your participation, but your opinion is wrong and will never matter. By far the worst professor I have ever had.

I was very excited for this class. It was small and and personal. The content intrigued me as well. She looked at me like I was a fool and if I ever answered her questions, she would shoot me down. The one time I said something that actually impressed her, she looked at me in awe. She had zero faith in me from the beginning to successfully finish.

I hate english. Period. But Dr. Zuk was very organized, interesting and made a dull subject bearable. After dealing with a bunch of disorganized profs this year she was a breath of fresh aif. She marks fairly. In other words,you need to earn your grade as she does not give away marks. She is approachable and helpful. I enjoyed this class overall.

Horrible! If you even try to speak up in her class she will shoot you down if it isn't her exact wording. She even made fun of me for trying to answer a question! Marks way too hard and gives useless feedback so you can't improve. I was excited about the class, then hated it! She will force you to speak, then say your wrong! AVOID AT ALL COST!
