I actually enjoyed Rhondas class and got 98 on both midterms. You just have to put in the work and youll do fine. Its super helpful to thoroughly read the textbook every week. There were discussions every week that were super easy marks. Highly recommend if youre actually interested in the content and willing to do the work!

Comment:

I have had Rhonda for both Psych 101 and Psych 250. 250 was the worst class I've taken in a long time. Her marking breakdown is 35% for two midterms so 70% is graded on tests and 30% on discussions. The tests were hard and the multiple choice was over the top and confusing. You have to memorize insignificant details of the text.

Rhonda is an interesting prof. I haven't had her for an in-person class, but based on my experience here, I don't think I could handle her personality for more than an online interaction, and I'm pretty easy going. She has a very specific idea of what she wants and expects, and anything different is going to be challenged.

Comment:

Dr. Snow was one of my favourite psychology professors yet! The course was online and involved independent study time for the most part, however as long as you do the required readings and complete the learning objectives you are set for the midterms, no matter what the format. She even offers a make up midterm for those who did bad on the first!

This lady is a piece of work. She will tell you the midterm is has MC, short answer/long answer when actually the exam was only 6 short answer questions. She marks hard, wants a specific response to every question. I advise you to visit her as much as possible in her office to go over concepts. Best of luck this lady is unreal.

I really liked Dr. Snow, took Psych 101 online with her and she is very chill and understanding. Although she does not really keep up with posting online/warning about quizzes and assignments, it is an easy class to follow if you do all the readings and SmartBook practice. Overall I think the course and the teacher is laid back. Good in my books!

Took this class as a pre requisite.. do not take it if you are looking to boost your GPA. The course was a "hybrid" but was 95% just online reading and quizzes. Found that most of her exams covered material that wasn't in the notes. The few lectures that were in class weren't helpful at all. Be prepared to teach yourself this course.

Liked the assignments and quizzes online, wish there were reminders to do them, needs more clarity on what is actually for marks, passionate about psychology, not quite as passionate and personable with her students and did NOT like when you took notes off her slides in class.

Well, Mrs. Show is awful. The worst teacher I have ever had. She cancels class, when she expects you to bring her assignments then gives you a zero for not handing it in. Her exams are extremely hard, and her quizzes are timed to where you get 30 secs per question. Shen won't care or help you. Expect to fail this class, definitely do not take!!

Incredibly unclear. Her lecture notes are useless so you pretty much have to teach yourself the whole textbook. She'll never be specific one what's important to know for a test. Because memorizing a whole textbook is so rational. Unclear on when she closes her discussions online so you miss out and lose marks. I'm an A student and am barely passing

Very nice in person, but generally unavailable to students. Not really involved during the online course, so you will rely solely on the text. This is ok though, because the exam questions are directly from the chapter quizzes in the textbook's website. Read the text, participate in discussions online, and memorize the chapter quizzes.

The worst teacher I have ever had. DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS. GPA KILLER. So unhelpful, so unclear, it is 3 days before my final and she has an automatic response to her emails, she changed the format of the final exam on the last week of classes, do not bother asking for help or any guidelines or outlines. Do not expect any feedback or answers.

Rhonda is by far the worst professor I have had during my post-secondary career thus far. Her tests are unclear and poorly written, she will not help you with any problems you may have, and is quite rude as well. Her online format was strange and she took way too long to respond via email. I would never take another 300 level class with her again.
