Listen, if you've taken any AP English classes in high school, and can write relativity well you'll be ok. My first paper I received a 75% because I did not follow her EXACT essay template. My next paper I got a perfect 100% score. If you go see her in office hours she will show you how to get an A. DO the 10 point home works for easy points.

This woman does not play. I took her the Fall of 2016. Luckily I had an AP English class before hers, but make sure you do EXACTLY as she says. Don't skip class; she counts attendance. I messed up on one paper and if i had made it exactly three pages in length, i would've gotten an A instead of a A-. Just read carefully and do all the journals.

I took her during the summer, the assignments are easy but its a lot for summer. She says there is a clear criteria for the writing but she takes off so many points if one thing is not right. She is not welcoming and she does not give good feedback. She made me feel dumb every time I asked a question.

Grade consisted of 3 writing projects that are split up by parts so you have plenty of time to complete them, mini assignments that are easy as well, and 10 discussion boards. Is usually quick to respond to your emails so thats good. Easy A!

Honestly, all assignments are pretty easy. Discussions board, research papers, 3 essays, & a few small quizzes in class. The 3 essays seem easy to understand but it's much more complicated. She is very mean & would put you in a spot whenever you do something or ask questions. You'll pass if you attend all classes, even so, can't promise an A though

She will come off as being strict and a hardass, but she is very clear on what she wants in her papers. She is an awesome professor if you do what she asks. Readings are not long at all, and she gives you the structure for the essays. Do not skip the small assignments either.

10 Discussion Boards(75-100 words), 5 Mini-Assignments(1 page each usually), and 3 Projects. Honestly, this class is super easy. She's pretty lenient on the grading, just read the rubric to make sure you aren't making major mistakes. Always write more than the minimum requirement, you're almost guaranteed an A if you do this.

The assignments for this class are fairly easy. However, the papers are more complicated than they are set out to be in the syllabus. Professor Goodman adds more to the prompt than what it originally says in the syllabus and grades pretty hard. Goodman also responds to questions as if you should already know the answer and isn't very friendly.

I wish I had never signed up for this class. Complete waste of time and energy. I learned nothing and feel less confident in my writing ability than before. The professor is unnapprochable and makes students feel bad about the nature of their questions. Also I feel like I was graded unfairly even though I had met the required standards.

Firstly, the syllabus is beyond ambiguous. She addressed, with what seemed to be frustration, the numerous emails she received from students asking for clarification on assignments. On multiple occasions I received partial credit for things that I had clearly met the standard of per the syllabus. Very unpleasant person at office hours as well.

Professor Goodman is extremely straightforward. She explains what she wants in her papers really well and lets you turn everything early. She is a fair grader provided you follow her directions. She also never takes up the full class time and lets you go early. Class consisted of 4 papers and a few smaller assignments. This class is an easy A.

I really liked Goodman at first. However, she gets progressively meaner throughout the semester. Never understood why she makes herself so unapproachable to students. Supposed to be an easy A, but she'll grade hard and then mock you when you ask her why. Wish I didn't take her class.

Goodman can be sarcastic and a bit scary, but she is honestly such a nice person. As long as you follow her instructions and MLA format you will get a good grade on your papers. Which is very simple to do. The class only has 4 papers a semester, and no final. She always ends class early, typically within 20 minutes.

Okay I really liked Prof Goodman. Yes, she is a tough grader. Yes, she expects things done her way. Yes, you must go to class. Yes, she is very blunt and will embarrass you if you mess around. BUT, I learned a lot from her. My writing improved tremendously. I would recommend going to see her and the tutor on every paper. Ask questions after class!

Goodman was the worst english teacher i've ever taken. Never actually taught anything, always wanted things done exactly her way. She gives a structure that allows for zero actual insight or creative thinking and marks you off for having any actual analysis that's not exactly what she wants. also is an absolute MLA freak. would not recommend.

Goodman has a clear structure of what she wants and if you follow it you'll pass. The papers are pretty hard but the other assignments aren't. If you're confused just go talk to her and she'll give you good feedback. She also lets you out like 20 minutes early so that's a plus.
