He is the best professor. He teaches everything what you need to learn. I knew when I came to his class in the first day. He was going over the whole course guide. I would take over him again to my next courses for computer science.

I had Mr. Carney for Intro to Programming. He makes it impossible to fail as long as you show up, but he doesn't make the class interesting. He seems bored and repeats a lot of unnecessary stuff. Decent teacher, would take again.

Awesome professor! Expectations and material were made clear. He has multiple Master's degrees and an EdD, and he is sensitive to students' needs, putting time aside at the beginning and end of class if possible. Pay attention in class, try, and you should get a great grade. I had no problem earning an A+. The foundation for programming I needed!

This is his last year teaching before he retires. Great teacher, and really wants you to do well. If you have perfect attendance and fail every assignment, he'll give you a D. Tests are straight from the book and pretty easy. The hardest part are the programs, but he gives partial credit. Great teacher!

Definitely cares about the students. Yes, after 40 years, it's a bit monotone, but if you're interested in learning you pick up a LOT of info, and he's easy to work with if you actually care about what you're doing and make an effort.

Class not bad. Kind of boring. He speaks in a monotone voice. Brags about his 500 doctoral degrees. But he is a nice guy. Class can be difficult sometimes as he speeds through the programs. Just make sure you keep up with the work and you should be fine.

Extremely easy class. If you get confused with the coding, he helps you out and gives you the answers. Don't take him for granted, but overall extremely easy. Class gets repetitive and alittle boring, but its okay. And he might show a movie one day, then get mad people dont take computer's seriously and let you out real early like he did with me!

I knew nothing about computers before attending this class and had very little desire to learn. Professor Carney's way of teaching made it easy for me to learn the basics and also gain an interest in to continue learning more about computer programs.

Easiest class ever! The first day of class he told us he wants this to be our easy A class, and it really was. As long as you show up and do the work (which is ridiculously easy, you can do it in class), then you'll definately get at least a B. Nice guy, i highly recommend taking this class.

Stats I. This is the last semester he'll teach stats. Examswere a mix of easy and tricky. He put up with annoying students talking the whole class time, kids didn't take exams if they didn't feel like it and he still let them take the same test whenever.Kind of not fair to the kids who do the right thig, but I guess someone has to give them a break
