Caron was really cool. Very understanding if you had to miss class. He taught very clearly and was willing to help. It was kind of hard but really made sense when he explained it. The class was really helpful because it taught logic!

Really great teacher. I was scared of logic and proof but he made it my fav class. Extremely nice, funny, personable guy. Makes class relaxed and even fun. I didn't like the text at all esp since there weren't solns, but he is super helpful. He was talking about retiring so idk if he still teaches. I wish he taught more classes. Excellent teacher.

Easiest math teacher you can possibly find at UCF. Gives practice exams nearly identical to the real exams and never really gives hard questions. Nice guy and really helpful.

This class is pretty much the easiest class ever. I only showed up for the first day of class and then all the test. The final is optional but comprehensive. He is kind of monotonous and has a dry sense of humor.

The C-creature is awesome! Very funny guy, keeps it interesting, very helpful outside of class. Don't take this class with anyone else because it will put you to sleep; not that I don't like it, it's just hard to make this subject interesting. 10 EASY turn-in assignments, 10% and 4 tests, 90%, no comprehensive final. Everyone passed,lowest grade C.

Professor Caron was great! If you go to class and pay attention, you will pass the class. He wrote the book you will use, and he teaches straight from it. He provides a practice test before every exam, which cis really helpful! I highly recommend Caron!

Excellent Professor. Go to class, pay attention, and it's an easy A. Material may get rough at times, but he knows his subject well. He wrote the handbook that goes along with the course. He is very good at explaining the subject in plain English. Has 10 1-problem Hw assignments that are worth an EASY 5 points ea, drops the 2 lowest Hw grades.

Great teacher. He is very clear and always willing to help. Your grade is based on 4 tests and no final. But one thing to keep in mind is that Logic and Proof is hard. You either get it or you don't. So most people either get an A in this class or not a good grade at all. But he will help you until you understand it. Hes great! and funny too :-D

Great Professor!I have been terrible at math my whole life, but I found this class was on my level. Mr. Caron was the best math professor I have ever had,and if math is not your strong point I recommend taking him.Extremly nice, goes slow, always gives you help. Un-graded pretests that are REALLY helpful, cheat sheet for tests. Great Prof.

Great teacher, sarcastic and has a dry humor, but nonetheless a good professor, Dr. Caron really knows how to teach.. although the material isn't the easiest thing in the world, it's actually not that hard either. The first 2 tests were easy, the second 2 were a bit harder, but still not difficult, overall easy A.

He makes you turn in 1 or 2 problems from the hw every other class. If you're doing those and attending class, you should know the material. Towards the end, the material gets harder and he doesn't assign hw, so make sure to attend class and still do the hw. He provides practice tests which are similar to the in-class tests. He's very sarcastic

Dr. Caron is a really nice guy. Love his sense of humour. Made me want to take more logic and proof classes. Do all the assingments. He gives you samples exams - if you understand them, you will do well on the real ones. Try to keep up as the material gets harder tw the end and you are more likely to be discouraged. Highly recommended!

This class is an easy A. Never takes attendance. Great reviews right before each test. 5 tests, including the final. If you like your avergae of the first 4 tests, you don't have 2 take the final. He wrote the book! He knows his stuff, take this professor.

Dr. Caron is an excellent teacher and knows the subject very well. If you practice the homework, you should do fine on the tests. Do all the turn-ins, as they WILL help your grade. Takes into account your attendance, which helps towards your final grade and a no-brainer if you want to pass class. Great dry and sarcastic sense of humor.

Comment:

Discrete math was a very difficult subject for me. I'd always do the homework, but would find out in class that I did it completely wrong. I didn't do so hot on the tests, either. However, I passed and felt that if I didn't have Dr. Caron as a professor, I definately would have failed. If you have to take this class, he's your best bet.
