Dunstan is the absolute best. He is so passionate about journalism and just quirky enough for you to always have a laugh about something he says during his lectures. He has fun stories and really cares about helping you become a better writer. I have him for religion next semester and I couldn't be happier about it! Take a class with Dunstan!!!

Hands down, Rich is the best professor I've had so far. Knowledgeable, experienced in the field, and always willing to answer questions. The assignments can be difficult at times, but the criteria is always clear. If you're interested in journalism, or simply want to try a new style of writing, I highly recommend Richard Dunstan's class.

Dunstan is a great prof. He helps you understand what you've done wrong and his "Green Ink" lab exercises are a super helpful editing tool he provides. He teaches the class like a News Room which really helps with the whole "hands-on" journalism people should be looking for. Awesome guy & class.

Richard Dunstan is very good at what he does. He marks fairly, but not easily, and is always willing to answer your questions. His lectures are clear, and well though out. As long as you hand in all your assignments on time, and give forth a good effort, you should do fine.

Took Religious Studies with him. The Old Testament course. I ended up learning FAR more about the Old Testament than I ever thought I would. Sometimes it got a little boring but you can tell Rich really loves his Religious Studies. Testing and essays are fairly easy if you listen to his lectures and take LOTS of notes!

I found his class challenging but extremely stimulating. He was an expert in journalism, which made him a fountain of knowledge, and he was extremely helpful and clear in everything I asked him. He won't fail you if you try your best, but an A is really hard to get unless you are good creatively AND with grammar. He's a good guy.

His dry wit makes his otherwise tedious lectures somewhat interesting. I found it hard to apply what he tought to the assignments I had to write. I did learn in his class, but I can't see any valid application for the material he teaches. Very approachable and helpful outside of class.

HE SUCKS! Horribly unclear lectures, unapproachable. Only covers the GOOD side of religion; is completely biased. Does not allow for critical thinking, unless you agree with him. Wants everything under the sun in all your work! DO NOT TAKE HIS COURSE!

Rich is the best proffessor I have every had. He is humble, approachable, funny and devoted to his students. If you have a question that he can't answer off hand then he will come next class with heaps of info for the question. Classes are interesting and lively. The best Proff ever!

Rich is a good person, and a great teacher. He is very helpful, and open to discuss anything related to the topic. I found in his bible study classes it was hard to follow him but that's nothing that a voice recorder couldn't fix.
