Dr. Groover is a super nice guy!! He's relatively easy to get along with. He says some things and you just have to take it with a grain of salt, but he makes up for it with humour!! It's pretty hard to be bored in his class!

Professor Groover is a very good teacher. I took his Biology of the Environment class and loved it. We had no text book, instead, all the information was in his lectures. So, be ready to take notes. As long as you pay attention in his class, you will pass. This class is not hard and is very interesting.

Professor Groover is not a good teacher. He doesnt give you a text book but just makes the entire course about his lectures and his point of views. Very rude when you ask questions. Always goes off track in lectures so you dont know whether to take notes or not.

Outstanding professor and class. Really makes you think about your environment. Lectures are easy, but there is a good amount of reading and a few lab assignments. You have to do the work, but an A is not difficult to get. Great class for the non-science person who need a lab. Attendance matters! Chapter test questions all come from the lectures.

I took this as a Hybrid class and stressed from day one about completing this with a passing grade. In the end this was one of my highest grades all semester. I loved everything we learned about. All the classwork needed to complete is listed very clearly on his syllabus in a checklist. Honestly no reason for you to fail unless or lazy or don't go.

Professor Groover is a wonderful teacher! Please be ready to read quite a bit, especially if you're taking a hybrid course. He makes science so interesting and you'll be shocked by how much you learn in his class. Don't be intimidated by the coursework, it might seem like a lot but I got through it w a 40 hr work week and 3 other classes.

Professor Groover loves his job and that translates to his teaching ability! He teaches thoroughly and really makes the substance applicable to everyday life. DO NOT BE LATE TO HIS CLASS! Work hard and ask questions because he knows a lot. I always enjoyed asking questions because he was great at playing devil's advocate to environmental issues!

Great teacher! Make sure to come to class on time for pop quizzes. The book is terrible, very hard to understand but Groover explains things so well, he makes it easy as long as you pay attention and take good notes. I'm taking him again for NAS162.

Come to class ON time, take notes and READ assigned chapters. 5 tests, 1 formal report, 8 labs (including 2 field trips, be sure to avoid the "stinky building"), 2 discussion topics infront of the class and the final exam(study tests to prepare for final). He really makes learning the material easy and fun.His tests make you think so you have to know & learn the material, not just memorize it for the test. Mr. Groover is one of those great teachers! You can tell he really enjoys it, plus you will actually remember what they teach you! He expects you do to do the work required, but makes the learning fun, with GREAT !!!lectures and makes taking notes very easy. Gives pretty good explanations compared to other teachers I have had, including biology teachers. Attendance not mandatory but gives random quizzes. Tests are 100pts with usually 50 sometimes 100 questions. If he puts diagrams on the test, he goes over them beforehand. This is for Health Science, I don't know what he does in his other classes.
