He is an okay professor. All the homework assignments are basically the test and there is 1 paper due a week before the final. If you take notes and write down what he puts on the board, you should be fine

I attended every class (missed 1, I had to go away for work), got 90-100 on each weeks homework, got a 95 on the research paper but got 60s on each exam. I asked for extra credit work and told him I need a C- to get tuition reimbursed from work. He never responded back to me but then gave me a D final grade. Not professional, not caring!

He's not the easiest professor, but he is fair. If you show up to class and ask questions, read the book/study, and don't skip class, you should be able to get a B. An A is definitely not easy. Tests are very hard, take online quizzes through pearson (the website for the textbook) to help prepare for the tests.

Fair professor. Test are hard because the language used for the test don't match up to how he brings is across. You get in class but the test read like the homework assignment except you can't keep taking them until you get it right. Take notes! Participate & print homework assignment to review for test. That's where he generates questions from..

Prof. Hamilton was alright in the beginning. Most of my class did fail our exam however. He offers no extra credit, but curves fair. He lectures until the very last second of class- don't expect to get out early. YOU MUST READ if you expect to pass this macro. He lectures fast, with little class participation.

He can be funny but Very Monotone. Reads directly from the book. Keeps you until your exact time. Lectures are not interesting, seeing that they are so long. Very very hard exams. 3 exams but 1 easy paper. He's a very nice guy but difficult to learn and remember all the information without any sort of study guide.

This class is boring but the way he explains things in simple real life terms helps you get a grasp on it. Participate with him during the lecture and it will help your understanding the material. Tests aren't easy and the one term paper is long but he's a good guy, not as dreadful as i'd anticipated.

Very nice and tries to entertain the class with a boring subject. Homework literally take about 5min to do each week but he doesn't really respond back to students electronically. His tests are HARD. Half my class walked out within 5min of taking his tests.

He lectures for the full class, sometimes even longer. He gets side tracked very easily. He is a really nice guy, but I would not recommend taking his class.

this professor is okay. He doesnt give much homework but for his tests you have 4 chapters to study but 10 open ended questions. His concept of a review is to ask him questions and he says yes, no, or maybe it will be on the test. In class he is not that boring and tries to help you understand what your reading. Not the greatest but not the worst.

First of all i dont know where these people came from to rate him. they are obviously B.S. His tests are all open ended. No study guides for tests. His reasoning is to study everything and the test is a surprise. Please dont listen to these people they are fake. he doesnt cater to any of the students needs. No curves or anything. not recomended

Prof. Hamilton's econ 100 class is def not the easiest class but as long as you just read the book you will get A's on all of your tests. His lectures relate everything to real life so its pretty easy to understand. He likes I.D.'s on his test so just remember those and you'll get the A

I don't know what class most of these people went to, but the class I was in was horrible. I completely agree with person before me. He was so boreing (monotone voice), made fun of people who gave wrong answers, his tests sucked. And it wasn't just me everyone in the class hated him.

I hate this class. The teacher's an idiot. I wouldn't be surprised if he said he doesn't have a highschool diploma. I promise you none of this material will ever show up again in your life (unless you go on a gemeshow nemed "Useless S**t You Will Never Use"). Classes are tourture. Worst then waterboarding hah. The tests are pretty much the handouts

Prof. Hamilton is great! Class could be difficult but if you just study well the exams are easy. Some students had issues with the material but I don't see how, he relates everything to the real world. 3 tests and a paper but he gives SOO much time to get it done, if you can't get it done then you procrastinated. 1st, I hate economics! 2nd, this prof took a subject I hate & made it interesting! Great prof. class is part lecture part discussion. He makes the lesson relatable to reality & current situations. If you must take Econ, take him, you won't regret it. 3 tests & 1 paper. You will always know where you stand with him, & he's a pretty funny guy.

The fall 2008 semester was very interesting with Professor Hamilton. Our class discussions became very "heated" at times, he's a funny guy. If you have to take Econ I'd take it with him...A lot of work but worth it
