Prof. Kent is clearly very enthusiastic about the subject material, but can still be a little long winded and get lost on tangents. Very willing to meet for extra help, also offers extra credit if you ask for it. "Short tests" are two questions long, but you have to study a lot of material because you never know what those two questions will be.

Professor Kent was really helpful when I got sick and missed the midterm. He makes it super easy to do well in the class as long as you attend the lectures and pay attention. The lectures can seem dry because a lot of people aren't interested in the topic, but he is actually very engaging. I recommend sitting in the front row, he'll love you!

Very nice guy and incredibly wiling to answer any questions, but not very organized. Tends to jump around to things during lectures, but will love you if you can speak Chinese. Also, he still uses slide projectors...seems a bit dated to me. Very sweet but east asian art was my least favorite class this semester.

he's a nice man but his flakiness is annoying. he took a month to grade our papers.... a month!!! now that's ridiculous. he is so jumpy. he is not very clear at all. i had trouble staying awake in his class.

He is very disorganized which is frustrating, but his tests come right from his class notes, he especially likes when you repeat vocabulary on tests. Say everything you know about a piec, the more you write the better on exams. If you can get past his flaky-ness, his class is not bad.
