Some think he's odd, but I think thats what makes him awesome. Interprets the world in non traditional ways that encourage deep thought. He is heavily opinionated, but not close minded. I believe that he is ahead of his time in many ways and is under appreciated bc of that. He explains things in detail and encourages discussion among students. A+

Honestly, Im not really all that interested in Philosophy but for the essays / short answer's he puts on his tests, as long as you put up a good argument you'll get a good grade. His lectures are boring tho, all he does is constantly repeat 2 different topic & give numerous examples but I much rather that then him give us a million topics to learn

You guys who say he has personal space issues have no idea. In order to learn all that this man has to offer to really need to get to know this man, to get inside this man's head. Richard Keshen is a great teacher and person, he has expanded my world with his outstanding public speaking, teaching and mapmaking(Cartography) skills.

I'm not a dud,I love good discussions but he's to focused on his opinion to have them.Over explains simple ideas. It's a hard to take notes because he has problems concentrating if your not 100% focused on him.He has personal space issues.

Richard is a great prof. He is VERY smart and you just need to get used to his style of teaching. Very fair. If you go to class you will pass the course. No way you could pass this course if you didnt show up. Interesting topics that make you think outside of the class. Nice guy to talk to and is very understanding. Take him for Natural Science!!

Richard is an amazing prof! He is very intelligent, but he's also very open to others' interpretations of the material. He's very sincere and kind; very willing to help you with your papers and encourages you to come see him about them. He talks a little dull, but everything else more than makes up for it.

Richard Keshen is an amazing prof! He has one of the most interesting classes I've taken and he's very knowledgable about what he is teaching. He's very helpful when asking questions and he has a witty sense of humor that is a great combination when he's teaching material in class. Overall I'd say he's one of the best professors! A+

No offence to some of the other posters...but this guy's overrated. I find he's always trying to pass off his ideas and analyses as much more impressive than they actually are. There may be a term for that: pseudo-intellectualism.
