Comment:

Really liked that we had lots of mini-assignments so you could constantly gauge how you were doing in the class. LOVED the fill-in workbook style for class notes -- it really helped me with remembering what was taught in lectures. The final exam is CUMULATIVE but only worth 30% of the final grade. Lots of bonus points on exams & assignments

Comment:

Her tests were SOOOO easy. Just do the study guides she has at the back of her lecture workbook.. I don't get how people are saying her tests are hard, they do not involve critical thinking whatsoever, I don't think they could be easier. She's very easy to listen to, she makes the lectures interesting. I enjoyed her class!

Unclear when it came to assignments and due dates. Her study guides were awful and most of the time did not match the tests. Labs were vague and uninteresting, just like her demeanor.

Shes a really nice person but her tests are awful and study guides are ridiculous but both of her classes were mandatory for my program so you better study your butt off cause so much if the material on the guides are not on the tests

Although my major is not psychology, I really enjoyed her class! She is the one of the best prof I've ever met. Everything was so clear and organized. She takes easy steps for people who are not familiar with psychology. She is always willing to help you. If you want take psychology classes go for Judy's class!

Judy is a great prof! so nice and so approachable, I would highly recommend. She is also easy on the eyes ;) As far as the course goes it pretty dry material but overall fairly easy. I skipped 75% of lectures and finished with and A. She posts notes on D2l and provides a partially filled in book of notes which makes life easier.

Judy is great. This class was extremely boring and dry and her enthusiasm and genuine passion for the subject made the course so much more bearable. She's simply delightful and super approachable, fun, and fair!

Judy is a great teacher. Very approachable and helpful and makes the labs and lectures interesting. The exams are a little content heavy, but the outlines and study guides are provided in the lecture book, so there's plenty of time to prepare. Do your reading and go to lecture and you'll do well.

Judy was a great professor! She is very nice and helpful. All the assignments were really easy, but the midterms were incredibly difficult. You'd pretty much have to memorize the textbook for them. The lectures were good and interesting, but they didn't cover everything that was on the tests.

Judy is always so happy and friendly! She is really passionate about psychology and knowledgeable. There are no surprises when it comes to tests, her labs labs are fairly easy. You need to attend both lecture and lab to do well. Textbook required. She is so adorable too!

Judy was nice and approachable although her exam outlines were ridiculous. Five pages, each with seven paragraphs that contained about ten different things you needed to know. Lectures were heavy and mandatory as you fill in the notes with her. I found myself studying for exams before they were announced and still receiving mediocre grades.

I found this course much harder than the other intro psyc courses I have taken. Although Judy was helpful with assignments and her lectures were interesting, I still struggled with some of the material. She supplies an exam outline which I found helpful, and she is a quick marker which was a nice change!

Really disappointed with this class, lectures are useless and Judy spends more time talking to students than she does lecturing. Tests are ridiculous and the outlines provided more than once did not have critical info on them. Judy is nice but this class was harder than it needed to be as an intro course and VERY boring. Never thought Id hate psych

Only complaints are that she isn't clear on what to study for tests, and there are way too many assignments for labs. Still one of the best psyc teachers at Camosun. Very approachable.
