Pay attention to the lectures, and do the Cornell notes some would be on the quiz. he'll give lots of easy work and a couple of bonuses: do them all. Quizzes are every Friday, so start the notes and studied. He's not that bad nor is he strict but would either to forget to upload the assignment so remind him through email.

Comment:

He is so organized and knows his stuff that you get more comfortable. Each Chapter has a quiz, but there is a guide. The book is necessary. Powerpoint lectures. Plenty of extra credit & assignment heavy but they're easy. Likes participation. He's helpful and I'd recommend because his structure makes it easy for you if you study.

Very organized, do the work and you will pass. There is extra credit available and a total of 3 proctored exams. Need to study for all Exams, a bit difficult but can pass with an A if all assignments are done. The assignments are busy work but easy. Gives great feedback and not a tough grader. Do weekly assignments and short story quizzes.

Kirk is a great choice. He lectures through PowerPoints, and his book. Showing up is mandatory because he assigns his assignment based on lectures from class time. Gives a lot of optional extra credit, so it's great when it's being taken advantage of.

I absolutely hated this professor and I'm unsure of how he received a positive score on here. He buried everyone with service learning projects and papers EVERYDAY! He asked questions and students would answer and all be wrong. Them he would answer his own question with what everyone just said. This ruined class ruined my Fall semester.

Took him online for soci1301 and it was very difficult. I've heard nothing but great things about him when it comes to in person classes but online he was totally different. He puts so much context and material into his exams that it's so hard to study and keep up. He is clear in his syllabus what he expects but it's quite hard to manage workload.

book is a must. very boring, assigns a lot of homework practically every time we meet for class but there easy. a lot of reading no final exam they are all just quizzes which consist of 25 questions: multiple choice, T/F, matching.

Really easy class, I got a C because I did not buy the book and a lot of the work was based on the book. So I recommend you buy it if you want to pass. He's a nice guy that makes things easy and interesting to understand.

Excellent instructor. Very kind and actually wants for you to learn. I took two of his online classes and had 100% in both. Be ready to read, watch many videos, and write discussion board postings. I always recommend his classes to people that I know.

Great teacher!!! Items on the quiz will be on the printout so do yourself a favor and study them. Mostly over definitions and examples provided. Show up to class for extra credit that's counted at the end of the semester. Class discussions are easy and interesting. Anyone can have an A easily you just have to show up and do the work.

I took his class online. He is a great instructor. He is helpful, responds to your questions and emails. Very friendly attitude. If you are taking the class online, beware that the test is a bit difficult and you need to study hard. He made it open book exam but time was really scarce, but he gave extra credit too. I highly recommend him.

Mr. Kirk is great as long as you do your reading. He explains detail by detail, but watch out for his test don't just learn the vocabulary. You have to do the reading!!
