Comment:
Dr. Lippke is a wonderful teacher if you want to learn stuff about Ethics. However his tests are the most painful that you will ever take in your life. He is an incredibly hard grader and you will be lucky to get a "C" in his class (His words not mine). In addition none of his tests are multiple choice so think what he does or fail.

Really interesting class, clear and easy teaching style, makes it easy to understand the material. Don't take the class if you want an A. He's one of those teachers that you have to think exactly what he does, in his words, to get an A. Written tests, often pushed for time.

Awesome guy! Great sense of humor, and makes philosophy easy to understand. He was the first professor to actually help me UNDERSTAND the philosophical works I was reading. As long as you take good notes when he explains the readings, the class is an easy A.

I am a fan of the class because he makes philosophy extremely understandable. He oversimplifies many beliefs, but business majors need that. Lippke himself is quite the liberel/socialist verging on Marxist. His grading picky, almost pointless so beware that to recieve an A requires massive preparation for exams

Boring! He is incredibly awkward and makes inappropriate jokes too. But if you go to class every day and write down everything he says you will be fine.

he grades TOO hard & he admits it the 1st day of class. takes off points on exams but doesnt tell you why. makes inappropriate jokes for serious topics (abortion, death penalty, etc..) lectures arent too bad, can be dull esp in the morning. pay attention, write down everything he says! and try not to let his odd personality get on your nerves.

Go to class, it is what the tests are based on really. 3 tests and a paper, but he is a very picky grader, write down everything verbatim as he says it, and then study it verbatim to write on a test and you'll be fine.

great proffessor! 3 exams and 1 paper... each 25% of final grade. basically study the study guide and go to class for notes and you can def get an A for the exam. exams are all essay/short answers... only prob is that he's very picky when grading them.

He lets you know exactly what you need to know for tests and papers, and makes lectures an absolute blast to follow. A real sport about helping people understand, even when they just weren't listening to what he said 5 minutes ago. Highly recommended.

This guy is hilarious and presents arguments clearly. Those that say he "laughs at everything" need to evaluate their intellectual well-being because he does so to lighten up class, not make light of tough topics.

Sometimes talks in huge circles, and he can be very quirky, but the class is interesting, he's very thorough and clear, and the tests aren't hard at all if you actually read the book, come to class, and take good notes. A good class, and a good teacher.
