I loved this class. Luxton is awesome and very understanding of his students. Work is pretty easy. Reaction paper and discussion every week and a 10 page term paper at the end. Not bad at all. Definitely taking another of his courses.

This class was incredibly easy. All the tests were curved and other than the one paper, there is no work outside of class. Lectures were boring but if you pay attention they are useful. I would recommend both Prof. Luxton and his class.

I took this online and over the summer, which is a lot of work, 2 papers per week and a 10 page final paper. I felt that I was rushed and didn't learn as much because I was constantly pressed for time. The professor doesn't give a lot of feedback which was important and didn't respond very quickly to questions. Frustrating.

Easy class. Tons of writing. Two page reaction paper and discussion reply is due twice a week. 8-10 paper can seem discouraging. Easy grader. Do the reading assignments, and answer the reaction questions completely and you will pass this class with minimal effort.

First part of class was helpful, second was extremely boring. Easy professor, knew none of the class was doing the reading and didn't care. If you make an effort to particpate once in a while and write a pretty good paper you should be fine! Very flexible on deadlines and contect. Great guy! And he's British, so that's fun.

His class is a breeze. Expecially online classes. Tests are straight from the book and he just throws grades on them. Online just have to answer discussion ? and summarize chapter each week. Overall a very easy but proficient teacher.

Good guy, he'll try to get you the best grade possible. Quzzes on the reading (I don't like how often he quizzes on statistics) 10-12 page paper. He's flexible with deadlines. Much easier than other Soc profs you could get!
