Very intelligent and placid guy. His lectures and the lab book are confusing, but he is always there to help. Most of the stuff you will learn is on your own, by writing up the labs in the notebook and trying to figure out what it means. Just do the work and you pass. Oh, and the class does not end at the scheduled time, expect to stay a few hours.

Very smart guy. This class is hard, but not that hard. Well, for state it''s very hard. But it's only hard because you're lazy, which is why you're at state to begin with. So stop whinning, and do some freakin work.

The class and the professor aren't all they are cracked up to be. The work load is only bad when you fall behind, which is a guarantee, and for the sheer fact that everything from the lab manual to the lectures and Morris himself is unclear and unorganized. It's definitely a think on your own class, but I didn't learn as much as I'd hoped I would.

Best class ever; but be prepared to work your ass off. Doc is great, but not very clear much of the time. He sometimes chooses favorites but is willing to work with anyone. DONT FALL BEHIND... There is so much work you will never recover. He will not force you to do anything only make sugestions.

He's brilliant and placid. Although you will learn a lot, be prepared to do a tremendous amount of work. Phys 357 was the most educational class I've ever taken.

Don't look at the ratings. His classes are hard, vague answers to questions, and confusion lectures. All he wants is for students to think about physics, and suddenly you realize what he was saying in lecture and have learned a lot. Best class ever.

Had him for grad E&M amd Math Physics. Mediocre at best. Take Grad E&M with Tom O'Neill at UCSD if you want to learn physics.

While I had Prof. Morris some 30 years ago for E&M, he is still in my memory as the best teacher I have ever had. You youngsters should count yourselves lucky if you can have him for an instructor. He is one of the most gifted instructors around!
