Professor Pacco is not as bad of a professor as all these reviews say. Accounting in general is a tough subject and I managed to make it through this class not having read and aced the quizzes and did well on the midterm curves. I dont normally cram the night before a test but I did for every test and did fine. And I thought he was funny.

Comment:

Cant believe that he his a registered teacher at Cuyamaca. He is not helpful at all and talks so much about material that is not useful to the class or exams. Mostly all the studens failed the last exam...I wonder why? I Will never take a class that he's teaching again...even if its the last class standing.

Pacco is the worst professor I think I have ever had. The man is all over the place and really hard to follow. He doesnt explain things well if at all. More than half the time he doesnt use the examples from the handouts that you were told to print and bring to class. Awful teacher, do not recommend taking his class.

Several times through out the class, he would provide the areas for the exams that we should study, when exam time came, almost nothing he said was on the exam. I got tired of hearing about "those knuckleheads in Washington don't know what they're doing". So I dropped the class. Glad I did, he statrted with 25, ended with 8.

Mr. Paco talks about real life happenings to help you understand the material. You print the quizzes out at home and have a week to complete. There are e-connect problems, and Mr. Pacco will have gone through a similar problem in class. There were three exams and you get to bring a "cheat" sheet (8x10), both sides to help you.

Did not like this prof. I read and took notes and understood the literature because of my study efforts but he was useless. Didnt explain the accounting problems at all and when you asked he would tell you to read the book HELLO!!! I can teach myself concepts from the book but not accounting practices! Thats why the class isn't offered online!

Good teacher, I took the summer class that went by very quickly, but he will answer any question you ask - he encourages it. He allows one page of notes for tests, READ THE BOOK. Everything on test is out of the book. Overall great teacher.

Do not take his class if you are visual. Do not expect this teacher to help you with anything.No charts, pictures,or examples.He rarely writes on the board. His class consist of reading the book to the class.If you want to get good grades you have to read the book on your own because the way he reads, puts the class to sleep.

Pacco is a very decent prof. Took this guy in the 6-week summer session and it was a breeze. most of the test is on the handouts/supplements he went over in class and some of the hwk problems. so, as long you do well on your homework, quizes, and supplement/handouts you'll get a good grade in the class.

This is one of the worst teachers I've had for quite some time. The way he presents the material is extremely blunt. He doesnt take time to make sure that you understand and if you ask questions, he makes you sound stupid. I would not recommend this teacher at all.

Comment:

Financial Accounting is a challenging class. Pacco shares many of his own financial stories which makes the subject more interesting, though he can go a bit long. Read book and do homework--you'll be fine. He's not as bad as they make him out to be, he's really a nice instructor.
