Comment:
His class wasn't too hard and was actually pretty interesting. It wasn't very structured though. Lectures were boring at times, but Dr. Patterson cares more about you actually learning than the grade. If you're into philosophyreligion then any class of his would be good

Professor Patterson is funny and interesting. He interacts a lot with his students during class despite the fact that the class is a lecture with 60 students or more. His grading is fair and communicates well with students if they seem to be struggling/not keeping up. I would recommend this professor and the class.

kind of all over the place. a bit of a nut. class participation is a must. gets off topic a lot. plays favorites and is easily distracted. try another philosophy professor.

He was overall a great professor. His dry humor and inability to use a computer kept the class fairly interesting. As long as you do the work, the material is not hard to understand. He is very nice and willing to discuss his subject matter with you after class.

I went to class 6 times during the semester for fear of infecting everyone with yawns. but, while doing nearly zero work during the semester, i pulled it together and got an A at the end.

He really cares about his students and is very understanding. He'll move deadlines if he feels the class needs it. He's a bit unorganized, but the class was fun overall.
