This man is an amazing prof.I had him for Intro thru 410.He turned my casual interest in Psych into a passion such that I hope to pursue my grad degrees in Clinical Psych.I use what I learned in his classes literally every day.His retirement was a great loss to the field of education.I am so fortunate to have been able to take his classes.

Comment:

I had him for Abnormal Psych in 1990 and he was...a bit off. He reminded me of Sam Kinison's character in "Back to School". He would go off on the most bizarre and non-topic related rants, but they were so funny you could not help but be entertained, but overall, I thought he was an excellent teacher and learned alot from his class.

I had him in 92-93 and didnt care for him at all. I felt some of his rants were completely uncalled for and his complaining about FSU being a second rate "university" ridiculus. He was the only one teaching whatever course I needed for Marketing otherwise I would have avoided the class. Other comments sound to me like he hasn't changed much.

great teacher-cant test essays on a test so he creates essays for each chapter to be quizzed on-the best way to study for these tests is to type out the questions and study the answers..it makes is so easy-Tests are almost exclusively from the online tests pre, post and multiple choice.-they are worth the time to study those. freakin hillarious guy

Pisacreta is a good instructor. He makes lectures fun at times with his sense of humor, but he also repeats a lot of stuff he says like 5 times. But overall, he's a good guy. The class can be difficult but as long as you study each of the quiz questions he gives you (required reading the text), and take notes, you'll do fine.

Dr.Pisacreta is great! He's a Vietnam vet with a great sense of humor who seriously engages you with his lectures. He may come across as rough and gruff at times, but that's just part of his personality. You'll do fine in this class if you go to the lectures, take notes and do all the questions for the quizzes.

Best teacher I have ever had! I'm not a psych major, but i want to take Abnormal Psych just to have him again. My suggestion is to write out or type out all the quiz questions he gives you and study them, then the quizzes are easy. Class is so much fun and ALWAYS intersesting.You will learn a lot from this class.

He's Italian and thats all you need to know!! His lectures are great and he teaches you so much about life. He is also hilarious like how he tells you he "doesn't have to move to move the monitor(big ****)' his tests aren't too hard if you take notes and study those notes. only problem is he singles you out if you dont get full credit on a quiz

A truely brilliant professor. One of few that i actually admire and respect. He can come off condescending but that is likely due to a realist life philosophy. His lectures are worth going to every one, both for the material and the amusement. I've never laughed as hard in class as the time someone believed when he blamed myopia on masterbation

This guy is nuts! No attendance policy but I go just to hear the crazieness. When a question is asked in lecture it seems like he thinks we are dumb, he has a condesending tone. As long as you go to class and study for the few quizzes he has you will do fine with him, hes a blast to listen to.

Oh no no... don't just go to class on test days, especially if you're a psych major. Pisacreta is awesome and you will want to go to class just to hear what he has to say. We have class discussion where the students participate in the lecture... you must go and enjoy and gain another's perspect on the world... you won't regret it...promise

This class is easy. No attendence policy. I show up only on test and quiz days and I am getting an A-. If you do go to class he is very interesting and funny. He knows his stuff well and tells it how it is. He also cracks jokes all the time. My advice is to take this guy, and only go to class when there is a test or quiz. You will still get an A.
