This is one of my favorite professors I've ever had at IU. His lectures are so interesting and easy to follow along, even for someone like me who thought I was going to dread accounting. I wish I still had his class to go to every week

Comment:

Schrimper is an absolute legend. As long as you show up for all the attendance days, its truly impossible to not pass this class. He explains everything incredibly clearly, relates it to the real world in understandable ways, and makes you laugh in the process. Highly recommend taking his class, you wont regret it!

Comment:

It's accounting, so can be boring. But Dr. Schrimper doesn't let it get too dry, especially with the schmuck of the week. Very professional, but also laid back. He knows his stuff and is always willing to help explain a concept. Attendance taken at random, and it is 20% of grade. Best professor I have had at IU. If you have to take A200, take him.

Schrimper is one of the best professors I have had. He is very fair in his grading and if you receive a bad grade in his class odds are it's your fault. He provides more than enough practice exams and everything on the test is covered in class he doesn't throw any curve balls but if he does he will acknowledge it and make it right. Great guy!

Favorite business professor at IU. He's such an engaging, hilarious guy & is so intentional with his students. You can tell that he truly wants everyone in his class to succeed. His lectures cover a lot of material, but he makes it easy to follow. Pay attention & take good notes, because lecture material really important to success in the class.

He was my favorite professor I've had at Indiana. He kept the classes interesting and short. He did a great job clearly explaining difficult concepts. You don't need to read the textbook much but definitely PAY ATTENTION in class. If you do that, you don't need to study that hard for the exams. (He also adds a nice curve to your final grade.)

The tests are pretty tough, and the only thing youd grade is based on are 3 tests and very little attendance. However, the final is the heaviest weighted and is easier than the first two. Hes not very available and I wish he wouldve spent more class time going over the actual material instead of all his nonsense. However, he can be pretty funny.

Comment:

You have to be self-motivated to do well. HW is never taken for grades and there's only 3 tests, but nothing unexpected. Attendance taken randomly, so it's important to go. But Schrimper makes class enjoyable by funny real-life accounting stories, extensive knowledge, and good speaking. Made me love going to a class I expected to hate.

Professor Schrimper is easily the funniest professor I've had in my time during college. He also provides great insight on a lot of real world things that you just don't get from most professors. He takes attendance randomly 5 times and there are 3 tests. No HW except reading, but the attendance could make or break you, so go to class.

easily the best professor i've had at iu so far. makes such a hard topic so much better, by introducing the "shmucks of the week" and talking about his past job experiences. gives great input about how to get a job in the future. very approachable and very friendly to his students. blunt with his students about grading policy. wants you to succeed.

Professor Schrimper is the funniest professor that I have had at IU thus far. He makes a dry topic, accounting, very fun and he does a nice job of engaging with his students. He told us plenty of jokes about his past experiences working in business, which helped us understand why it was important that we knew what he was teaching about

Prof. Schrimper is an excellent professor. He keeps lectures interesting with anecdotes, but is also very good at covering the material and getting you out of there as efficiently as he can. Attendance isn't required, but he does take attendance randomly, and I wouldn't recommend skipping (firsthand experience, lost 30 points before I wised up).

Prof. Schrimper is my favorite professor I have had this year. His lectures are entertaining and informative. His grading scale allows for one mess up on a test assuming you go to class everyday. Professor schrimper is one of my favorite professors at iu. HIs lectures are entertaining and he really knows his stuff and how to teach it in the best way possible. Great guy. Lets out class early almost every single time. Missing just a few classes will put you noticeably behind, but I never wanted to miss one anyways.
