Harris seems like a nice old man, but he is a worthless teacher and is not helpful at all. I wanted to learn, but ended up being a waste. Can someone please tell me why AU has the WORST marketing instructors in the entire country? Is this a conspiracy by other depts to get you to not major in mktg?! Help me out here!

I got a B in the class even though I only went on test days. I can't say he's a horrible teacher because I never went to class but I can say that he's the reason I never bothered going. He's competent with the material but he's hard of hearing which made it difficult for me to a) understand him and b) ask questions.

I had Dr. Harris in the summer of 2004. He was a nice guy and if you took time to talk to hime then he was more than greatful to help you out. He is a very nice guy and will help you if you ask. Nothing is easy so you have do the work yourself. Teachers can cover the material buy only you can teach it to yourself. I give him an A.

He is a nice man but not a good teacher. He tries to help but his help really does not help. There is pretty much no rhyme or reason for anything that happens in his class. You will learn little or nothing. Auburn's Marketing department is lacking!

awful teacher. test questions do NOT come from the book, because i've read the chapters. the tests are basically impossible. have to go to class to watch the movies because he puts them on the exam for essay questions. he's quite possible the worst marketing teacher ever.

His tests come straight from the book and you really don't have to go to class much to pass. He has a hearing problem, so he never understands a question. The group project is a lot of work and not worth it,he brought my grade way down with that project and my group had everything he wanted and more

He is one of the nicest professors I have had! He may not be the best teacher in class due to hearing loss, but he really cares about his students and how well they understand the material. Just study the old tests on his website (that's half the test questions right there!) and you will do fine!
