His teaching is hard to follow, taking notes is so hard. He gives study guides, but they aren't any help. Tests are 6 sections including open ended and essays. Read your book. He uses questions from online quizzes on exams. Study any map he gives, it will be on an exam.

Awful professor. Doesnt put any grades in D2l so you never know what you have in the class. Exams are extremely hard and almost everyone fails. He gives you study guides and tells you to define them and study that. Well that doesnt help at all. He is the most confusing professor I have had so far.

Goulet is a great professor but extremely hard to follow along with. He clearly knows what he is talking about and seems to forget who he's talking to at times. he is all over the map and easily gets off topic. His tests are impossible. They are too hard for a gen ed class. Take this class online and save yourself some stress.

Goulet is such a jolly soul. He's honestly hilarious! His lecture are fun from time to time. but he definitely uses the whole class time. you wont ever be getting out early. his exams are impossible. everyone fails. there's not much homework. but you definitely want to study. get ready for the map exam. READ YOUR TEXTBOOK.

Goulet really knows his stuff, and it shows. Learning history from him was a breath of fresh air after years of dreadful high school history teachers who basically just read us material from the book. The class would be hard if you don't read and take good notes, but he gives you all the information you need to know on the study guides.

You have to buy three books for his honors class, I didn't use any, and I got an A. He assigns reading, but doesn't go over it. And then, what he teaches in class has nothing to do with the reading. It's an easy class if you take notes. Kind of boring, but alright I suppose. Didn't much like the class, but he's nice. A bit cutie-pie, really

I absolutely hated his class! gives you the study guide a week before exams and its ALOT of information! remember SMALL details. he's an ok guy i just didnt like the class or his stupid discussions and crazy exams!

Dr. Goulet loves his subject matter, and I think he communicates it well. He gives plenty of chances for those lazy students who don't turn things in on time. He's very easy-going, but YOU HAVE TO DO THE WORK.

Really funny/nice guy. I agree with others who said if you failed it was because you didn't do the work; his tests are difficult and I did poorly on them but did all the other work required and he gave me a B (I would've been grateful for a C). I had Satya last semester, withdrew and took Goulet instead this semester...so glad I did!

He is ridiculous. I did everything needed to pass this class, but somehow I keep coming out short. I did all the homework, writings, everything and I still failed. I would studying hours, at least 6 hours per test and would fail. I dont know what I can say to get you to stay away from this class, take anything else!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Awesome guy. Horrible Teacher. His powerpoints defeated the purpose of powerpoints. His tests were impossible. The first exam no one even got an A, with a room with all junior and senior history majors and only 2 people received a B. His grading system is weird and he requires a lot of reading. I had 5 books just for his class.
