Currently taking POLI SCI. This guy is pretty awesome. Have to say he makes it extremely difficult to fail the class. Hes more than fair with every assignment thats given. There is rarely homework, and the tests are straight forward. If you cant follow a long lecture, make sure you read the textbook. He truely cares for his students.

I had him for American National Government, and loved it. Having his class actually made me change my major to political science, and he is now my advisor. As long as you are in class and take notes on the material he writes on the board you will do very well. His exams are easy because he tells you exactly what he is looking for.

He's a total sweetheart. His class though is very very boring. He's so passionate about the subject material but if this isn't the kind of stuff you're interested in, you're gonna be very bored. The exams are easy. Just memorize the terms. He is very clear with what he wants on tests. He does, however, take a very long time to grade exams.

Such a great person overall. Fair grader and tests are easy as long as your read over the material in the book. His class is dry and extremely boring. He just talks all class sometimes without any visual presentation up, which makes it more difficult to pay attention and be engaged.

The subject matter of the class itself is unbelievably boring (to me) but that isn't his fault of course. If you are thinking of taking him for a GenEd requirement, DO IT! He is seriously the nicest guy you will ever meet. He's extremely laid back, is very helpful, and a very good professor I think. He knows his stuff and it shows.

Political science is just not my thing, so this was difficult for me. Professor Berard's class is very boring to sit through and he is somewhat hard to hear. The written test format is actually what gave me a decent grade. He seems like a pretty cool guy and if you pay a little bit of attention you will find that he can funny in a geeky way...

I was really excited to take this class but I found myself bored out of my mind enough to the point where I simply never showed up. He's a nice guy but his lectures are off topic and I basically could have taught myself. I rely mostly on my book to learn anything. Test are easy but he takes forever to grade them.

I am a poli sci major. If you are not a poli sci major and you need his class for a core requirement, TAKE HIM!!! He will give you the best grade and he is easily the coolest teacher in all of poli-sci. Very leineint and loves to help!

Being a nice guy doesn't make up for the fact that time spent in class is a complete waste. Not only is he boring, he has absolutely no control over anything in class. There is no motivation to do anything and you get away with everything. Test questions are either numbingly easy or absurd. He should be teaching elementary school. Nice guy though..
