Rick is wildly intelligent. Because of his past job experience, he is super resourceful and knowledgeable. But, his class isn't easy. The material he teaches is dry but he does a good job of making it interesting and fun. If you have to take BLAW, take it with Kunkel. He will make it worth your while.

Rick is a funny guy, his tests are pretty difficult but if you put in the work to understand the material thoroughly, you will do well. He is pretty strict on attendance and loves talking about BLAW. He makes class enjoyable because he is funny, but I wouldn't take him as a 301 prof.

Professor Kunkel likely has good intentions but often rambles during class. This capstone is insanely difficult & will take more time outside your life than 2-3 classes combined. He is accessible but very blunt & not very sensitive. If you are a BLAW major I suggest not taking a full load when you take this class and prepare for battle. Good Luck.

Rick is a great professor but definitely makes you work for your grade. Participation is crucial to passing his class. His lectures are very helpful so pay attention!

Definitely a tough class, but Rick sure knows how to keep a classroom engaged! Long lectures full of content, but he makes them fun. It's very challenging material, however I came out of the class feeling like I really learned a lot! Study hard and participate, and you're good!

Rick is a great professor and does a great job keeping the class engaged and involved in learning the material. He is hilarious and isn't shy about cracking sarcastic jokes in class, but that doesn't mean that time is wasted. Every minute in his class counts and is worth it.

Amazing professor. One of the funniest and most savage professors out there. Class with Kunkel is never boring. Not the easiest class I've taken but a little bit of hard work will take you a long way. HIGHLY RECOMMEND

If you want an easy A or want to skip class, pick a different prof. If you want to learn about important, relevant legal info, Rick is the BEST. Not a BLAW major but I learned so much and it was honestly my favorite class. I loved his lectures. 3 to 4 tests which are tough and weekly quizzes, but not much else. Would definitely take again.

I LOVE RICK! He was such a great teacher. Yes, he is strict but he is really preparing his students for the real world. The material can be boring at times, but he does a really good job of making it enjoyable. Let alone, he is a hilarious man! Don't take him if you can't handle sarcasm. You will get a lot out of this class if you take Rick!

Kunkel is a good teacher but he is pretty strict about being on time, attending class and does not allow any laptop or phone usage. He cold calls people in class and isn't the clearest about all the different variables. All in all a nice and interesting guy.

Kunkel is a great professor, he will make you laugh in every single class. Definitely work hard for your grade but you do learn a lot. He is super funny and likes to joke with students. Law is hard to learn, but hes really great about teaching it well and always keeping it interesting.

Kunkel can be a bit intimidating, but he is a GREAT professor who really knows his stuff. He gives great examples in class, although his lectures can get a bit long. He is strict on attendance and tardiness, but he really means well. If you pay attention and take good notes, you'll be just fine. He's also very willing to help if you have questions!

The Rate My Professor really does not do him justice. He has a sarcastic sense of humor, which can be offputting if you do not expect it. Tests can be difficult, but they are curved so fret not. He does not allow phones in class, which can be irritating. For such a boring class, he tried to make it engaging. Overall, a pretty good guy.

Challenging course, but great professor. Makes a somewhat dry subject very interesting. Discussion-based class, gives students opportunity to get to know classmates by working in groups. Sarcastic-sense of humor. Ultimately, very nice guy and really enjoyed the class. Graded the class on a curve (tests can be challenging, so be sure to study).
