Very fun and a great guy in general. He is very passionate about ASL and wants to get everyone else excited about it. He was very knowledgeable and gives good feedback. If you put in the effort and have enthusiasm, this class will be easy and quite enjoyable.

Hilarious guy. You'd think the class would be over the top as he's deaf and there is no interpreter. However, that is the opposite. You can tell he's passionate about his students learning ASL. He's very quick to respond to emails. Would definitely take another one of his classes.

Ricky is amazing. I don't understand how he doesn't have perfect reviews. I had him for 1 and 2 and am more than happy to say he's my teacher for 3 as well. He makes ASL fun. He's always been responsive to my e-mails. All in all, awesome guy. Really the only thing I would note is that we don't get feedback on the workbook homework.

Ricky is a great ASL teacher! He has a lot of passion for ASL. It can seem overwhelming at first that there is no interpreter, but I quickly got over that. He is very welcoming and wants all of his students to succeed. Don't be afraid to ask him questions, try to sign them of course, but you can also write it down or email him if you need to.

I look up to Ricky a lot; his ASL is absolutely amazing, but I wish he had given more feedback on homework assignments. I'm always looking for ways to improve, and while I know my skills definitely improved during the semester, I wish I had been given more directive as to what areas to focus on in my signing.

Can be overwhelming at first because you only have an interpreter for the first fifteen minutes of class. The professor teaches a lot of information every class and you get test on the regular to make sure you understand. If you have a problem he makes sure you fully understand before moving on.

He's full of personality and his class is fun, but take it seriously or he'll chew you out. There is a lot of practice in class and online resources that he posts. He's open to questions and has no problem communicating through writing. Practice, participate pay attention and you'll pass.

Ricky loves his language and culture and it permeates into his teaching. He is a talented teacher and it has been a joy to now have him again for ASL 4, I had him for ASL 2 during the summer and it was a joy then so I expect the same this semester.

He's a really, REALLY good teacher and very personable. Very easy to understand and very concerned with the progress of his students. My only thing is that he's a time nazi. So your grade can drop because of lateness or attendance. I don't like professors like that, because it's like time is more important than quality of work.

Ricky is an amazing teacher. Anyone who claims he is disorganized must not have been very dedicated to his class. He's fun to be around and easy to understand. He may not always use the book alot but he's definitely got the criterion down. He's simple direct, and he's always engaging in the class. I definitely reccommend him.

Ricky isn't the most organized guy, but he's definitely great at teaching. My only thing with him is not replying to e-mails, but other than that he's amazing! Not one bad thing I could say aout him. Just go to class, don't talk, and observe!
