Comment:
I struggled a lot through this class and had to basically teach myself everything. Stutters a lot and is not very clear. Although he is a very nice person and is passionate about logic, I would not recommend this class to anyone who is impatient or is not willing to teach things to oneself.

One of the most understanding professors I have had, Professor Hughes threw out a test that most of the class did poorly on and re-taught the section of the course. While his illness sometimes keeps him from being perfectly clear, the course is not difficult if you pay attention.

R.I.G. is a very nice man who has had some health problems. He rarely understands students' questions, and he often struggles to find the right word. Yet, he has an enthusiasm for the subject that is hard to find. He cares so much about his students that when alot of the class struggled on an exam, he retaught the entire subject and gave a retest.

This guy is really nice, but needed to retire about 2 years ago. Hes just off his game. He rambles and stutters constantly. I am not trying to be mean but it makes the class amazingly hard to get through. He also assigned us a paper due the monday after our friday exam... is that possible....

Dr. Hughes is brilliant, insightful, and witty. Classes with him are paced so that there is no one big assignment due at once. I've taken 4 semesters with Dr. Hughes, and he still has more to teach me. He has a sense of humor about his work, though it is intense.
