Disorganized! She just keeps talking when it is a seminar course! She believes that whatever she says is right and doesn't give students the opportunity to participate. The lectures are very dry and boring and she just goes off on a random topic. I really don't know how she was chosen as a fourth year prof for mandatory course.

If you didn't know what you were getting into by enrolling in a course with "Feminist" in the title, that's your problem! She's a brilliant woman and the pieces she chose for this Feminist Life Writing class are all genuinely captivating. She is also so, so caring and respectful of how vulnerable the material can make students.

Thoroughly radical-gets to the root of the problem, meaning punishment isn't used to get things through your head, and instead draws upon what we go through everyday to be the basis for analysis. Makes space for intellectual honesty, including that which you do not know,and facilitates individualized learning. Walks the talk.

The course changed my entire Univeristy experience, and it was mainly due to Eva Karpinski's teachings. She is genuine, and does not sugar coat it for you. She is passionate, and I have never ever taken a 260 in my thought process on a topic like I did with women's issues. I have realized the importance of my worth as a woman. Thank-you Eva.

Worst. Class. Ever. Very poorly organized, focuses way too much on negatives, and the lectures are so dry they could start a fire. Eva is the better prof, but she speaks to fast and doesn't often clarify points that she should. She assumes you know what she's talking about and continues going at warp speed. But at least she doesn't scold us.

I really like Eva. I think she is helpful and likes the topic. She is not afraid to disagree with others too which is refreshing sometimes. Although the class can be difficult it is the subject matter and not her I believe.

Eva seems like she is a very nice woman. BUT..lecture is SO boring and a big waist of time!She blabs on and on and on.The topics are boring and to honest, the course material is so repetitive and really far-fetched.Both profs are very whiney and annoying! I would avoid this course unless you love to cry and complain about everything!Its too much!

She needs to go back to teacher's college. I have to wonder about the integrity of the hiring. She doesn't demonstrate confidence in what she teaches and very biased. She needs sensitivity training and needs to go back to teachers college. She definately not recommended.

She can be a little long-winded and as a speaker is often redundant or circular. I felt like she could condense her entire lecture into thirty minutes just by talking at a normal speed and not repeating herself, much like Rosenberg. She gets credit for being nice.

Comment:

Eva Karpinski is a great Professor and Tutorial leader. Teaching a Women's Studies course involves a serious constraint on bias views, which is extremely hard to do. Eva Karpinski is able to lecture and teach with minimal bias. She is very friendly, and really enjoys participation of her students. She is very knowledgeable in her field.

She was horrible. She read off of her lecture notes and spoke at such a fast pace that you couldn't follow. She was hard to understand because she used circular statements that didn't make sense whatsoever. The only good thing is that they give you an exam outline.
