Professor Mulligan is a great teacher. He is flexible and willing to help you succeed. Not too tough of a grader, but marks up papers a lot and checks to make sure you go through and correct those mark-ups. There are 3/4 papers that build off one another throughout the class and the class works around a central theme. Can also get extra credit.

Dr. Mulligan has been one of my favorite professors that I have ever had. He genuinely cares about every single one of his students and cares about students lives outside of his class. He makes the class fun and encourages you to get to know your classmates, which makes the semester much more enjoyable. I would for sure take a class with him again.

Prof. Mulligan has by far been my favorite professor to say the least. He's very clear with what he wants you to do when it comes to writing your papers, as you'll write 4-5 throughout the whole semester. He grades a little tough, but gives extremely helpful feedback that you can use to improve your next paper and so on. Be ready to talk a lot too.

Prof. Mulligan is a great guy. He really loves his students and is excited to teach. He assigns a lot of readings but doesn't give quizzes or homework to check if you did them. The main things to focus on are the papers and class journal entries.

Dr. Mulligan was great! He is funny and caring. Write your papers on time, so you can get feedback from him and you'll get good grades. He'll give you extra-credits if you visit the writing center. He also loves to make students participate in class.

Probably the most innocent man you will ever meet. Just be nice to him and the grades will come. Respect the old man and he'll go to the end of the world for you, or just be a jerk to him and walk all over him and he'll still do the same. You want to do good because he is just that nice and cute.

Dr. Mulligan's class is pretty easy, have short readings due every class but have random pop quizzes on them. It is a little unclear of when assignments are due; Dr. Mulligan is a little kooky but adorable. Would recommend this class for an English major, but not for someone who doesn't like to read or write.

You have to read a lot for the class but you go over the readings in class. He doesn't give reading quizzes so you can easily get away with not reading the texts. We barely write any papers (about four papers all semester). The one downside to the class is that there is minimal grades so if you screw up on one paper it can hurt a lot.

Such a great teacher. He is so sweet and nice! He really cares about his students and teaching. I love his class. It is fairly easy to get a B in his class, but it takes extra effort to get the A (keep in mind that I am not a English major). But I really did love his as a teacher!!

Roark Mulligan is the best teacher at CNU by FAR! He isn't super easy, but if you try, he'll give you a good grade. He is super nice and helpful outside of class - if you ever need anything email him or go see him - he'll help you out. His class is a little boring, but that's mostly the subject matter. He is really funny and you can tell he loves h

Dr. Mulligan is a good teacher, but he does over exaggerate certain concepts to help you get the point, at least in 309. It's tough, but not impossible to get an A on his papers. However, I learned a lottttttt about effective prose writing from his class. Very laid back personality. I ended up with an A - in the class.

I'm an English major, so 309 was required for me. I'm really glad I ended up taking it with Mulligan. It's a surprisingly easy class. There were four papers, but two of them combined earlier papers, and he gives you plenty of time. They're not difficult papers, and he's a fairly easy grader. Classes are a breeze, very little reading required.

Mulligan's cool. Fair grader, I worked hard and got an A. People who can't write will not get an A! That doesn't make him unfair, it makes you a bad writer! Took his class and he still remembered me and my paper 2 years later. Really nice guy, and very helpful. Cares about students. Highly recommended!

Great, nice guy, but a bit scatterbrained and akward at times. He is very flexible in class, so almost all the due dates for your papers are decided by the students in class. If you do your work, he's very easy to get along with. Overall, a very cute teacher with a fairly easy class.

Hard grader?! How?? Mulligan is amazingly accepting of VERY vague statements...I took Mod. American Lit. and Post Modern American Lit with him.. There ARE alot of ID's on his midterm/final, but if you do the reading it's cake, and he accepts answers if you're on the right track. LOVE this guy!
