Dr. Craig is a very smart and funny guy! His class is a bit difficult, but if you pay attention you'll be fine. I really loved it. Also, if you need extra help his grad assistant is really accessible and willing to help you out. I thought this was a great class and I recommend it to anyone who likes movies.

Very easy class, exams are based on the lectures, book is not used at all. Afer all the movies you get a 10 point quiz, pay attention and you'll be fine. He makes class very interesting, he is a fun teacher!

This class is pretty easy. If you have an interest in movies, you will probably enjoy it, although the first half of the movies you watch are old and some boring. Paper is 1/3 of the grade. Textbooks aren't necessary because everything on exams is in notes or lecture - you must attend class. Nice guy, but tries to be funny and just isn't.

The class is kinda slow, and isn't what i expected it to be. When i signed up i thought "how fun, a class where you watch movies!" no. half of them are like, silent films, 1/4 are just stupid, and the other quarter are in color. there is a HUGE paper, worth 33% of your grade. exams are hard, but take good notes, and listen to lectures.

Dr. Craig is a crazy guy but in a good way. He really has a passion for the material which is definitely a bonus to having him for this class. Bascially take notes on the things he puts on the projector and you have the material that the test will cover. Some movies are boring but others are really good, its all about keeping an open mind.

PLEASE pay attention in this class. The quizzes will either sink or float your grade in the long run, do good on them!! The tests are hard, study the course pack and your own notes. The questions on the test are tricky too, some questions come from the book, but are very random. This was the only BCA class I had to retake for my major.

never used book dont buy it, quizes are at times unclear as to what he wants you to say, tests are very hard, huge paper worth a large percentage of your grade, watch the movies and try your hardest to know who directed what

This is the only class in the BCA Department I have had to retake. The quizes came back to haunt me, so do good on those and do good on the first test because it is the only easy one he gives. Do that and you should be good. Earning a B may be tough and an A is probably impossible.

Don't buy the book, you won't use it. A little bit boring. Study the directors before tests and go to class to watch the movies. He's really bad at letting you know what your grade is. I was surprised when I got a B. So I guess I did something right. Only one paper due, but lots of Microthemes and 3 [hard] tests. Not too bad, but not the best.
