Comment:

Professor Eich is a very nice guy, just bad at teaching. If you are extremely thrilled by history or are a history major I would recommend taking him, if not you might want to take somebody else. Lectures are very long and boring. He hands out an outline with each topic for you to take notes on but sometimes skips a topic. No study guide for exams.

Not a good professor at all. Unclear during class, boring, very unorganized. Tests are hard and class is very difficult to get through. Not recommended as a professor.

Not a good prof. Does not engage the class is ALWAYS very unorganized, doesn't help with explaining what will be on the exam. If he runs out of time before the exam he just rushes through and skips over parts and expects you to know it still.

Mr. Eich is not a good teacher. He is very enthusiastic about history but the way he teaches the class and prepares us for exams is not efficient at all. Give us an outline, goes over it, then hands you an exam with stuff that wasn't in the outline.

Took his History 101 class during the summer. Way too hard for a 101 class. Three 1/2 hour lecture with five minute breaks. Not very clear in his lecture and doesn't do much to engage you either. You'll do fine if you study a lot. But, boring. Don't recommend.

The class was hard but Mr Eich gave his everything to help me pass. I was having a hard time so he spent extra time to show me what I was missing and how to get it a little better. I would take any class that he teaches.

I found him to be a great professor. He knew a lot about the things he was teaching and you could tell he is really passionate on the topic. Sometimes got off topic, but otherwise, made the content very interesting. I would definitely recommend his class.

A great professor who loves teaching. As long as your a decent note taker and briefly read through the material you're fine. I would recommend bringing a computer to class to take notes on especially if you're faster at typing than writing, he hands out a lot of information. He cares about his students and smiles a lot and gets off topic at times.

Mr. Eich is a great teacher and a better person. He takes general interest in the success of his students and wants everyone to succeed. If you need help, he is very approachable. Good combination of lecture and videos. Highly recommended!!

He's a super nice guy. I enjoyed his jokes. Very dry humor, so alot of people dont. Tests are really hard. Just do good on the papers and Journals and your set.

Lecture were very boring. He lectured every single day and we watched small clips of videos in between. If you don't know much about history or what he is talking about, you're still not going to understand. Makes jokes that are ancient. Nobody laugh at them, they laugh at him. Don't recommend taking him as a teacher.

I really enjoyed him. My negative to him is he lectures alllll the time and fairly boring. But if you read and keep up with the material you will do fine in class. The tests are fairly easy if you study quite a bit and he is a very fair teacher. Keep up with the journals & the book report and you should be okay. As long as u do work you'll be fine

This guy couldn't tell a joke if his life depended on it. Yet he tries eceryday. He's not getting any better. Not only that but he told the same****ty joke twice in one class when no one laughed the first time!!! I couldn't stand this guy. He should not be teaching. The tests/assignments were ridiculous, and his lectures were beyond boring.

All I have to say is that he is a great guy but has a bad teaching technique. I know that its college but I still don't think that someone can run a class the way he did, expecting you to read everything on your own and just doing a brief review in class. A lot of the things on his tests were not even about stuff he talked about in his lessons.

Eich is a very interesting instructor. He is so easy to approach. If you are having any problems you just have to talk to him. He seems to really care about his students. People that give him a bad rating or didn't do well in his class probably didn't approach him for help. I would take Eich again without hesitation.

Extremely dry sense of humor, class was very boring. A very knowledgeable prof, but he made it really hard to listen to him and he was very unorganized. I definitly would not take his class again. Does not offer extra credit, and grades on only 2 exams (each over 1/3 of the text book) and a paper. Exams are mostly on notes taken from class though

He is a wonderful professor. Mr. Eich is very smart hman being. The class is difficult and sometimes a bit dry. He expects you to work hard and learn. People that drop his class are just lazy.
