You really have to know what's going on. All questions are relatively the same. Try staying a step ahead of him while he is solving a problem, and try your best on the weekly quizes. Also, you would benefit from memorizing appendix C at the beginning of the year.

Now if you didn't take calculus in high school, you're screwed. He's a smart guy, so it is apparent that he thinks that this course is beneath him, he is also too formal with his notes which takes some of the "fun" out of math. Listen in class and you will do well.
