He's passionate about what he teaches about but the lectures are pretty awful. Talks pretty quiet and quickly. Best way to learn/study is to go to lecture and highlight which lecture slides he talks most about (slides don't contain much material) but everything he says is directly out of the textbook anyways.

Very very nice man. The stuff he teaches is very interesting and he is very knowledgable on the material. He talks fast which is hard for taking notes, but it is all in the textbook anyway.

GREATEST PROF EVER, I started doubting my love for biology until I took his course. His passion for the material makes you passionate. Really quirky and funny. I went to go see him a couple times in his office, INCREDIBLY helpful. Gives fabulous feedback. I wish he was my prof for every class, I wanna put him in my pocket and keep him forever.

Great guy - he actually is invested in the understanding of his class. A bit tricky to follow sometimes because he does go through material fast and forgets lots of people are learning this stuff from scratch, but the textbook is always useful. The best 2F01 prof.

He speaks very quietly AND fast. Lectures can be painful to sit through if you can't hear him. The material goes VERY quickly and is pretty difficult to understand, the textbook is highly recommended and I probably wouldn't have passed with a B if I didn't have it.

He is a very intelligent professor. You can tell that he cares about the subject he teaches. He speaks rather rapidly and is hard to follow at times, but he follows the book. You need to read the assigned readings to a get a good mark. His exams are right out of the book!

Dr. Carlone is by far the nicest prof in Biology at Brock! He's always willing to help, and is extremely knowledgeable about the subject. I've decided to go into graduate work in Dev. Bio because of him!!!

Nicest prof you will ever meet. Really passionate about what he teaches and generally gives you all the stuff you need to do well on his tests (you better study though or you'll be toast!). If he teaches the labs you will be in great shape. Is often unintentionally funny! Great Prof all around.
