Has been an accountant for a very long time, he knows what he's doing. Lectures can get pretty boring. The text book is beyond mandatory, all homework, lectures, readings, and tests are from the book. Read it. You should be fine.

Carmody is a nice man but his class is incredibly boring. He lectures the majority of the time and doesn't really teach the material. What he does try to teach is often confusing. Not many tests and the few there are are not easy, but he will often curve grades

One of those teachers that can't be fired because he's been there for soo long. If you get stuck with him, you have to teach yourself the materials and I strongly recommend doing the homework because that is the only way you'll learn the materials and do well on the exams. HERE'S THE CATCH: If you don't do well, he'll still pass you with a C- min

Tough class, I did the one night a week class so I couldnt really miss any days, he doesnt care about attendance though. Two tests, and one paper, than the final. He is a dull, dry teacher but so is the material. No HW, and had an extra credit assignment too.It wasnt to bad and I would take him again.

Teach yourself. The class was useless. He gets very behind because he dawdles on useless factoids like when the the AICPA was created...like that's imperative. Don't ask questions b/c he just talks over you before you finish. He has three tests a semester and that includes the final. Read, do labs, and you'll do fine on the tests (mult chc).
