Comment:

He is passionate, but forgetful, quite unorganized and sometimes rambles on. From my experience, hes an easy marker, but sometimes takes pretty big chunks of a grade off for minor inconveniences. The films he showed made me enjoy the course, and they are mostly popular works from America and Japan, so you can easily find info on them if necessary.

Objectively you do not learn anything in this course. He teaches animation & yet does not know what squash & stretch is. He teaches his opinions as fact & expects us to regurgitate his allegories for film making which are all opinion based. Techno-phobic & he HANDWRITES the textbook, syllabus & test!!! He is disorganized & super unprofessional.

I found him forgetful and unorganized. He's certainly passionate and the class can be nice, but it's not to the level of a university course. Movies in class are fun, but I did not learn anything. Assignments make you feel like you're in high school at best. He doesnt source properly and takes his personal opinions for facts without verifying them.

Really amazing teacher! He is passionate and knowledgeable about what he is teaching which makes the class very interesting. Very approachable and helpful professor if you have any question. Class is a bit long for many people but he shows a great collection of animation clips so often you are just watching fun cartoons in class!

Amazing teacher. He is a little bit forgetful and you have to remind him multiples times if he promised to bring your graded assignments to class. Be very patient if you take Art Of Film Animation, the class is long and he covers lots of interesting material. He is very helpful if asked to and makes sure instructions for assignments are clear

He's certainly organized, and holds his audience for the better part of four hours. This is aided by a quirky wit. Like most "experts" his age, hes become a little self-involved and it certainly comes across. insane comments: talking about Anime, he said the animators never drew how they really were with "buck-teeth and slanty-squin

Fun fellow, always very well prepared for all his classes and shows a nice collection of animated films. But class is a little too long. (4 hours!) Also, for some, his humor may be too forced. He thinks he's funny at times when he's just embarrassing you. Very light workload and he's quite an easy grader, but not A+ easy. He's ok.
