Comment:
He is hands down the worst professor to teach calculus 3. He is not helpful when it comes to asking questions, and if a question does arise then he ridicules the student and makes them feel dumb. He does all of his notes on an iPad making his lectures hard to follow and notes hard to read. Not only a bad professor but just a rude person.

Professor Dillon is the worst math teacher I have ever had. Most of the lecture he looks like he has absolutely no idea what he is talking about. Lectures are hard to follow and there are no explanations of why we are learning what we are learning. He makes a lot of mistakes and spends a lot of time trying to find and fix them.

Robert Dillon, is hands down the worst professor I have ever had for any class, math or otherwise. He methods are random and spastic, he interrupts students mid question, insults them, makes them feel inferior and stupid. And for a class based around the logical progression from one point to another he it so much harder than it really is.

Probably the most average professor ever. I never found an hour's worth of his lectures to be better than an hour's worth of studying, so I usually skipped class and went straight to the library, which has worked well for me. Homework is long (about 15-20 problems usually) and each problem can take 10-30 minutes, so do it early. Tests are fair.

I thought he was a fine teacher. Maybe a little hard to follow at times, and honestly I got a lot more from the class by talking to my TA (who was great). But he is a fair grader, he was very clear on what he wanted, and he was pretty helpful on the days you could follow him. No complaints. This is the best math grade i've had in years.

He can be confusing in lecture, he often confuses himself and that can make the material seem more difficult than it is. The homework problems can be frustrating at times, but the test problems are simple. You are not allowed a calculator, but he allowed us a note card (which is EXTREMELY helpful in calc)

Hard to follow lecture if not paying attention and teaches where every equation came from. Tests are easy if you know the material (no tricky ones). Throughly explains material and if you still don't understand your TA will explain it more.

He is a nice teacher but very unorganized in his thoughts which makes learning simple things from him very hard. He likes to talk to the board and mumble to himself. I dreaded this class all semester. Took off points for simple mistakes on tests. Let us use one page cheat sheets which was nice. The final was ridiculously hard.

Test problems are not as homework related as he would have you think. Expect the more complicated problems on the test. Make sure to check your work because he takes off alot of points (3 to 6 on a 10 point problem) for minor math errors. Lectures are long, usually him going over 1 and a half problems in the course of the hour. Wouldn't recommend.

Nice guy, solid teacher. As long as you pay attention you should be pretty good. Exams got harder though. Lets you use a page of notes on exams!

NEVER take from Dillon. He is the WORST professor in the history of math. He doesn't even understand the material himself and gets flustered when people ask questions (because he can't answer them). If you HAVE to take him for some reason, skip class and study on your own during that time. You will guaranteed to learn the material better.

He is the worst proff ever!!! I seriously cannot stand his lectures. He cannot explain concepts, will not answer questions clearly and we actually think he doesn't know the material himself. His lectures are so dry it is horrible. He follows the book word for word and does not bring anything useful to the class that we couldn't get from the book.

His explanation is not crystal-clear but his tests are easy (it was somehow an easy A). You have to understand that it is not Dr.Dillon not doing a good job but DiffEq is a class that's somewhat different from Calculus and we all may have some sort of troubles when we learn new things. Would recommend him.

At first I was a bit concerned, he seemed a bit erratic but I haven't had any problems learning the material. He explains things fairly well and does a sufficient amount of examples that anyone with half a brain should be able to ace this class. Thank You Professor Dillon I was dreading Calculus and you made it tolerable.

He seriously can not explain his lectures at all. He stumbles so much and is so choppy I want to shoot my self every time he starts to explain something, He makes easy stuff complicated. I was so bored one day I counted how many times he said um....IT WAS 76 in a 50 minute class. One of the worst Math teachers I have had, and I have taken Calculus

I think Dr. Dillon has been underrated here. Yes, he seems to be a little misorganized, and sometimes stumbles through parts of a problem. But his explanations are clear for the most part and he is willing to help. I would take another class from him.
