Dr. Dyer is a very gueniune guy that really only cares about you knowing the material, but his class does take a decent amount of effort. The lab that corresponds with the lecture isn't very difficult but his tests are extremely wordy and most students find them very difficult. A tutor and work outside of the lab and lecture is a must.

Lectures tend to drag a bit. Definitely go though, I would have gotten a better grade if I did. A lot of information, but that's unavoidable with this subject. He will help if you ask. Also be sure to put in some time in the lab to study for practicals.

Dyer is tough but if you study, you'll be fine. You definitely can't coast through this course. Though getting up at 8am can be tough, you won't be falling asleep in class. You also might need to record him because his tests are based more on what he says than what is on the slides. I barely used the histology book. The anatomy book is helpful.

I took this class as an executive but I am in a very similar major(Wildlife), big mistake. This was the hardest class I have taken at the University and I would not recommend it whatsoever. Dyer is a know-it-all all expects you to come in with years of veterinary knowledge. he is unclear and gets mad when you don't know something intricate.

One if the smartest men you'll meet! He's extremely helpful & can answer any question. His lectures are disorganized, so the only way to get good notes & do well is to RECORD LECTURES! He will say everything that you need to know for exams, but doesn't have that information on powerpoints, but PPs consist of very important pictures and figures!

Dyer loves his subject, and you can tell. IT'S VERY IMPORTANT TO GO TO LECTURE, the tests are comprised solely on what he says in class, and the power points are basically useless unless you know what he said about them in lecture.

This class was so interesting but very very hard. Although attendance is not taken, it is very important to attend lecture or else you will fall behind very quickly. The material is very interesting but there is so much of it. Dr. Dyer is a great professor and is always willing to answer questions after class to help in any way he can

Awesome teacher! Loves the subject. Go to lecture, pay attention, study for all the quizzes and you will do well. Pay attention in lab and study hard for practices cause they can be tricky. But great teacher. DO NOT BUY THE TEXT books! Need to be interested in class to do well cause it's a lot of material and a lot of lab work but so worth it!

Dr. Dyer where to begin! He is the man! He makes you want to learn about anatomy and makes you want to come to class. Helpful hint: Bring a recording device to class and record each lecture as he can go fast sometimes. The quizzes and tests are HARD but get 19+ on the quizzes and do well in lab and you are set. Amazing course and teacher!

Dyer is a fantastic teacher! He makes attending class something to look forward to. As long as you recieve at least 19-20+/25 on all the quizzes you'll be good. Lab really boosts your grade so do well in it! Study a lot for quizzes and exams as there's tons of material. Quizzes/exam's sometimes tricky.

Dr. Dyer is the best!!!! I absolutely love his class.. he's hilarious in his own way and tries really hard to make sure you know the material. there are quizzes every 2 weeks and 3 exams including the cumulative final. the quizzes make it easy to study. the lab is awesome but the 3 practicals can be a but tricky.. u really have to study for those

Best professor I've ever had. He makes anatomy extremely interesting. Don't bother buying the textbooks in my opinion. He says you only need to use them if what he says in lecture isn't clear, but his lectures are so easy to understand/visualize I never needed them. He likes to talk, but what he has to say is interesting and helpful.

There is a huge amount of course material, but he is really great at explaining, and really cares. He rambles a bit. Going to class makes all the difference. You will learn lots if you put the work into it.

Best professor I've ever had at UD/life. Would love him to teach every class. Incredibly interested in his subject matter and is an amazing vet & teacher. Will go out of his way to help explain to students and you will actually learn in his classes.

Clearly excited about what he teaches. Lectures are engaging. Knows a ton but sometimes has tendency to oversimplify too much-made a few points that were factually questionable. Go to class and study notes and powerpoints. Tests are overall easier than his anatomy tests. Final was much harder than tests--study diagrams-likes to add one to his final

A challenging course but not impossible. In order to do well, you really just need to make sure you are at EVERY lecture. It will be easy to skip because it's 8am, but you really cannot do so. Dyer talks forever but he also knows everything so you sort of just let him ramble. Have fun.

Dr. Dyer is very enthusiastic about what he teaches. He also knows A LOT about animal anatomy and veterinary medicine. If you ask a question, either in class or through email, he will answer it in depth. He really goes out of his way to help students and is an all around great professor. You won't regret taking his ANFS140 class.

Dyer is a great teacher and veterinarian. It's important to go to class and take notes. The better your notes are, the less reading you need to do. Print out the lecture slides prior to class. I had to re-take it because I did not realize that the quiz dates were on the syllabus and I missed class a lot. 8ams are tough but Dyer is THE MAN :D
