The lectures were boring and not much on the tests came from the lectures. I read the text, went to class, took extensive notes and still have a D in the class. Never had a class where I tried so hard and did so poorly. Get a different professor if at all possible and save yourself a lot of confusion and stress!

If you actually read the text, the class is almost simplistic. The only problem I could see some people having is that he wants you to think about what you are reading and make conclusions from the text. If you don't do anything, you won't survive. Oh, and don't bother going to class; just read and take tests.

I found him to be a great professor! His lectures are really interesting and he sticks around to answer questions about the lectures, the book, and exams after class. The tests are pretty hard but he curves the grade so it isn't that bad. I would recommend taking any of the classes he teaches, especially psychology 100!

Professor Fischer is the worst professor I've ever had. He doesn't help, and is ok with half of the class failing. His tests are horrible and I left the class learning nothing more than that I should have dropped the class and saved the headache for a class that mattered.

Dr. Fischer is the worst professor I have ever had. I've never struggled so much in a class, let alone a 100 level. I did read the book, attended every lecture, had a tutor( his grad assistant), and did the study guides, only to never once get about a C on the test. His test are ridiculous. If you ever liked psysc he will change your mind.

horrible professor. very monotone and dull to listen to. tries to be funny and make class interesting but doesn't work. NEVER lectures over test material. tests are IMPOSSIBLE! never know what your grade is in that class.

Fischer is not clear. He "wrote" the textbook. A more correct description would be that Fischer took what he wanted from other sources. The text is very similiar to reading an essay composed of copy & paste segments from the Internet with a few sentences added. Exams test over the text. Exams are MC & can be very confusing. Avoid this professor.

Very difficult course, but if you are clearly making an effort, Bob will go out of his way to help you along. Great teacher: entertaining, helpful and he does curve his tests pretty heavily (he knows the subject is hard). He's not good with email, tho, so hunt him down in person if you need him. Or call the jail -- he's their on-call psychologist.

Robert Fischer is the worst professor I have ever encountered. He is not clear in his teaching, his notes are... well not notes at all. He places things on the test that aren't in the book and that he has not gone over. AVOID Fischer at ALL costs!!
