Comment:

Fleck knows every bit of course material like the back of his hand. However, his testing methods leaves a lot to be desired, putting lots of weight into only three tests throughout the semester. Screw one up and there is a slim chance to recover.

Fleck is fantastic! Physics is a really hard subject so there's no professor that's going to be an easy A but I recommend Fleck. He's a super nice guy and really cares. Just keep up with the homework. Definitely one of the best physics teachers here at ERAU.

Took him first semester i came here. best physics teacher I've ever had. Gave quizzes after each chapter that progressed in difficulty. He was funny and enthusiastic and made you want to go to his class. Wish he taught 160 and 250.

Fleck is a character. Class is entertaining & you'll never want to miss a lecture. I took him for 302-the history of science. This course is really interesting & Fleck shows a passion for the subject. He wrote the book & it is a TON of reading. Grade is evenly divided between midtermfinalquizzesresearch paper. Dr. Fleck is an excellent Professor, he makes learning physics interesting and fun. Quizzes can be hard, but he is very good at giving partial credit. He is always there to help you, if you put in enough effort you will do fine. He even curves the final grades!

He is a fantastic teacher. He is a bit tough on grading but with great purpose. He wants you to know how it works. He is funny, inspirational, and probably one of the best teachers I have ever taken at Embry. Take him for physics, you won't regret it.

He is so funny and nice. His class is fine, he gives clear and consistent assignments. Everybody likes him, even if they are not passing. You can go to office hours and he will be happy to help. He gives lessons,then hw , then quiz and very few tests. He drops the two lowest quizzes. He is spunky and his class is very entertaining. DO TAKE!!

His lectures are very interesting and he is very good at teaching the material, the subject is just really difficult. Assigns homework but does not collect it. Grade is based on tests and quizzes which are extremely difficult. Also, he is a pretty rough grader. I recommend taking him because he a great teacher, but don't expect a great grade.

Very fair teacher even though his test is hard. If he change it back to quiz, yell hallelujah because you will regret is it his test. the quiz will prepare you for class and keep you update with material. No Homework so quiz is the next best thing.

Seriously,do not concern yourself with the notion that he is failing fleck. He has certain performance expectations from his students as every goood prof. should. He demands 2 hours studying for every hour inside of class,have the discipline to commit yourself, you will pass. His ability to teach is FANTASTIC. relates PS to real world applications.

As I marked, attendence is not mandatory...unless you want to know what is going on. The first day of class he states that you should be studying about 9 hours a night for his class! I managed comprehension with around 6 hrs. His quizes are 1-2 questions and are based on a scale of 10 points. So if you get one question wrong, it's an F.

had him for PS160. awesome professor. makes class fun. never a dull moment. Wish i took him for a real semester and not the summer so i could have him longer. jus read the text before class and he backs it all up perfectly. certainly going to take him again. he also inspired me to ride my bike every where. test are sometimes rough bout just study.

cool teacher, but bad grading system. He only grades tests, no HW at all. So far i have a 36 and a 48. His tests always range from 4% to 104%, and he NEVER reviews before a test...instead, he moves on to new material before the test. good luck. take him if you want to really struggle.

Professor Fleck is a bit of an odd character. I had him for his Evolution of Scientific Thougth class aka the history of science. He no doubt makes his class interesting and his topics informative but it is true he has high expectations. A good grade is possible but you have to only focus on his class and neglect the rest of your courses.

He is a great guy, nice and funny. But to get a 'A' you have to read the chapter before he goes over it, do the homework and go to his office hours. Your grade is consists of only 3 grades: Test 1, Test 2, and the final exam, so if you mess up once your done for. He is a difficult teacher, so if you have a full load don't take him.
