Comment:
Simple and structured class, straightforward. However Gordon has some questionable behavior like slamming lectern cabinet top to get peoples attention at beginning of class, likes to incite and single out specific people whenever the chance arises. Guy has some pent up anger but the class is one of the easier ones you'll take.

Gordon is a great prof. Its never fun to be called on in front of 100+ students, but this really forces you to pay attention so you don't look dumb. Grade is based on 4 tests, with content strictly from lectures (don't buy the book) so even though attendance isn't required, you need to know it for the tests. I got 3 As and a C+.

Grade is determined by 4 tests. No homework for this class. If you attend lectures and pay attention you should do well on the exams, they come straight from lecture material and are thoroughly reviewed.

I learned in his class and I understand the information but everything else about him is absolutely terrible. He is racist, xenophobic, crass, and bashes people for their political party. He's rude and doesn't respect his students as people. Repeats info constantly so it sticks, uploads lectures online, mandatory participation.

Comment:
Prof. Gordon is an "okay" teacher. The class grade is ENTIRELY based on 4 tests, and most of the content comes from his lectures. He can be disrespectful to students by singling them out, however, he typically gets the econ concepts across. I got an A on every test EXCEPT for the last test, on which I received a D, even after studying for weeks.

Gordon was a great professor. His lectures were interesting and straight to the point. Simply GO TO CLASS and you will pass. His 4 tests are based heavily on his lectures, so much so, that you don't even need the book. He does pick on students but it's usually those who are not paying attention. Awesome class. I would highly recommend.

Professor Gordon was incredible. This was the only class I truly enjoyed attending. He doesn't take attendance but I recommend going to class because the tests are word for word from his lectures. There are a total of 4 tests that make up your entire grade, and all are easy if you go over notes.

Four tests in total. Pretty straight forward, based off lecture. I skipped this class to go to Disneyland multiple times. Really understand the lectures!! And if you miss make sure you're friends with people who take good notes.

Entire course graded by four tests, but tests are based entirely on lecture material. No homework, no quizzes, just lectures and tests. Pay attention and take good notes in class! Only get book if want to read chapters for more clarification, otherwise you don't need it. Gordon has lots of office hours. Calls on people in class to answer questions.

If you want to possibly humiliated in class and belittled, take Prof. Gordon! He does not care for his students or feelings of people other than calling students out and complaining about liberal/Democrat agendas. The class is out of 4 tests ONLY, nothing else. Overall not a difficult class, but this prof made Econ 102 unbearable for me.

The exams are based on lectures. Sometimes he will choose someone to answer a question. It's best to make a study group before an exam unless you can study on your own.

The class is only based off of 4 tests and you have to listen to the lecture and he likes to pick on students. There is no homework, quizzes, or attendance so if you don't do well on your test it will drop your grade a lot. I wouldn't suggest taking him if you're not a good test taker.

Your grade is entirely based off of four tests. Unless you attend class, you will have hard time passing the exams. Does not give out any homework but make sure you listen to his lectures carefully.

I loved having Professor Gordon! His lectures are exactly like the tests, and I barely opened up the textbook during the semester. He does call on people in class, and some people get offended by comments that he says. I didn't care though because I learned a good amount in his class.

He is a great professor. Take his class. He gives 4 test that are based on his lectures. If you want to pass, JUST GO TO CLASS. Attendance isn't mandatory but if you don't go, you will not do well on the exams. He's funny and will pick on students who aren't paying attention.

He doesn't take attendance or do any form of participation credit. Your grade is just based on 4 tests. He states things in the lecture that will be on the test word for word. Easiest class I've had for sure. Kinda intimidating but funny.

Definitely the best teacher to take for Econ102. He is pretty easy and is super clear with what he expects from you. If you go to class and take good notes then you will do well. His tests are exactly what he goes over in class and uses similar examples. 4 tests are your entire grade. He calls kids out in class a lot but overall a great teacher.

4 Tests. No Homework. Go to class, pay attention for the lecture and that's it. Study hard because each test is 25% of grade. He is the man, tests were straight forward but definitely study hard or else they will be very hard!

This is a very unstructured class. Entire grade based off of 4 test scores. Show up to class, the textbook is ultimately unnecessary and he writes exactly what you should take notes on on the board. Usually bigger classes try to sit in the front you will do much better. No homework, no quizzes, no participation grade. Very attainable A

Gordon can definitely come off as being tough on students if they don't know the material during his lectures but overall he's a really good teacher. 3 midterms and a final are the only components that go into your grade so make sure to study! I thought the tests were pretty easy since they had basically the same questions he gives in the workbook
