This class requires A TON of work. It was mixed delivery where you had to read stories then talk about them in class and in an online discussion board. You have to make four blogs that all require a lot of work, and to top it off there's a huge group project at the end. He can ramble on for ever and get quite confusing to understand.

He can be a tough grader, but if you're a decent writer, you'll do fine. Let's you redo your work as many times as you want for a better grade with all papers and your main project, the Long Report. 6 absences before it hurts your grade. Optional final. Only 4 quizzes the whole semester. Easy teacher, but you have to put effort into your work.

I took Dr. Vonderosten for as many class as I could while I attended Ferris. Simply and honestly put: Dr. Vonderosten changed my life. The discussions in class about the nature of language and reality helped me get a grip on my life. I was a problem-child on the verge of self-destruction. His classes saved me. Now I teach Eng. at a comm. college.

His class requires a lot of work. You have to really think when you write papers. However, he lets you revise your paper (sometimes more than once depending on the grade). Quizzes are all of lecture notes. I would recommend him. He is a very intelligent teacher.

Very Easy Professor. The only bad comments he gets is from very lazy students. Whatever notes he gives you is enough to pass all assignments and quizzes with 100%. Paper was long, but he is an easy grader and lets you revise as many times as you want. If you are truly interested in this subject, talk to him. He has great experience in this subject!

He will help you develope your writing if you wish or even if you don't. He is a very helpful teacher! You can rewrite a paper until you get it right... it can't get any easier. If you do not understand an assignment he will help you understand it. Take a class with him... I strongly suggest it!
