Tests were easy if you pay attention and did the quizzes. I got the textbook that was recommended, but never opened it. He assigned homework that was in the textbook, but was not graded or looked at. Really nice and helps answer all of your questions.

I loved having Mr. Hessel for my stats class. He gives a workbook at the beginning of the semester that is really helpful. It has all the PowerPoint slides in there, practice problems and study guides. He is really helpful and clear on what you need. My tips: 1. Try and you'll do fine. 2. You can use a $15 book for your practice problems.

Mr Hessel is by far one of the best profs at RVC. If you are looking to take a math class, TAKE HIM. He is very clear on what he expects and is always willing to help. Be respectful of him and he'll be respectful of you.

Hessel is a great teacher, he makes statistics seem easy, but the tests is pretty tough. Homework is fairly simple. Remember, statistics is easier for some people and tougher for others. Hessel does a great job explaining everything.

The most caring, intelligent, and patient prof at rvc. If you simply show up to his class, take notes, and do the homework, you will be fine. Everything is straightforward and he gives you a notes packet and study guide. I really wish that all profs taught this way!

I never liked math but Hessel is hands down the best math professor I have had. 3 exams and the final exam is multiple choice. Provides notes for the whole semester that includes study guide in back which are very helpful. He also drops two of the lowest homework. He wants you to succeed and pass.

I never took stats in high school so I didn't really know what to expect when it came to difficulty but this was probably one of the easiest math classes I've ever taken. He really helps you understand the material and he provides all of the notes plus study guides in a workbook on the first day of class which was extremely helpful!

Hessel is easily the best professor I've ever had, such a happy guy. Lectures are the best, he works through example problems on the board and is amazing at answering questions. Tests aren't hard if you use his provided study guides and all homework is done on MyMathLab, which he lets you redo as many times as you want so that you can get 100%.

Very good math teacher. You will never be caught off guard, as he will always tell you what you need to know and where it will apply. He was always willing to help in and outside of class. Tests are worth the majority of your grade so studying is definitely required, but the rest of the work is easy.

Definitely one of the best teachers I've ever had. He made everything clear from the beginning what we were supposed to do and taught all the information very well. The homework wasn't hard if you paid attention in class and you only had one assignment to do every week.

Prof. Hessel is hands down one of the best teachers at Rock Valley. He makes sure everybody understands the criteria before moving on and answers every question. He gives you a notebook on the first day with the the notes printed for the entire semester! 3 major tests and a multiple choice final. If you need help with math I highly reccomend him.
