Great professor, his lectures are great and you do learn a lot. Be prepared to take quizzes at the begging of class, don't be late! Quizzes really help w your grade, so don't complain. Professor is very chill and hilarious, definitely recommend taking him. He is very clear on his lectures.

Lewy is awesome! He is funny and makes his lectures enjoyable. He tries to make the material as easy as possible. Just take notes, study a bit, and you'll pass his quizzes and exams easy. Great professor, I highly recommend taking his class.

Took this class over the summer, i loved this class. As long as you go over the notes and read a bit you should pass. He understands that most students are in that class because they have to be. He makes the material as easy as he can.

Professor Lewy is amazing!!! He gives a quiz right when class starts, every meeting. The exams arent too bad. There is a lot of note taking and we hardly used the text book. He is really funny so it makes the class more enjoyable. There are a lot of diagrams but its not bad, he makes them fun. I highly recommend him!

My mom who was a geology major told me to take Mr. Lewys class because he was hilarious and a fantastic professor. Mr. Lewy made the lectures hilarious, and he definitely cared about you if you applied yourself. Do. Not. Talk. During. Lecture. Also, if you study for the short quizzes every week, youll pass the class easy! Goodluck!

Mr. Lewy is a great professor. Not only does he make the subject of Geology fun, but he does so from personal experience. Show up to each class as the quizzes at the beginning of each class are an easy grade. The final was great, he turned it into a group project that really made it fun and very easy to get a good grade. He is a true gem!

Lewy is a nice guy however I feel his antiquated teaching methods make the class harder than it needs to be. He does not use power point so he spends a good chunk of class time drawing diagrams every night and his handwritten notes can be difficult to read on the projector. No extra credit. I would recommend taking geo with another prof

Lewy's passion for Geology is evident in his lectures. He makes rocks "rock on". DO NOT TALK IN CLASS WHILE HE IS LECTURING - it's annoying to the class and he does not like it (Teens). You can't fail this class if you make an effort to learn. If you can't pass the simple pop quiz, then maybe college is not for you. Take notes and read for exams!

I took geology with lab over the summer and he was absolutely fantastic. You do a quiz each morning with 10 points so make sure you attend class everyday and you'll get easy points. He provides multiple ways of sharing the information so every student can learn. An absolute Gem and terrific teacher. I highly recommend you take his course.

I loved this semester with Lewy. He tells you exactly what is on tests and quizzes and is very helpful. Definitely recommend him. Quiz every lecture, also don't be that disrespectful person who leaves immediately after the quiz.

Its always great to have a professor who makes their lectures fun & interesting, which Professor Lewy does. He tells you exactly whats on the quizzes, literally. Exams? not hard, studing & reading will get you there with no problem. Always there to help you understand after class or email. Very nice guy, funny, and i would totally recommend.

I normally don't rate professors but I had to brag about Professor Lewy! He's a professor that wants his students to pass. He's funny, makes lectures interesting, & even tells you excactly what's going to be on his quizzes & tests. Pretty amazing professor. You won't regret taking him!

I highly recommend this class. He explains the subject so it makes sense. He's very interactive and willing to help you in anyway he can. Very passionate about geology. There's a small quiz every class, but he tells you what it will be about, it's a great way to earn points and they're extremely easy! I changed my major because of this class!

Even if you have a legit excuse (you were in a car accident) he will not allow you to complete extra credit. He simply calls it FAIR. Come to class on time quizzes are given minute class starts, if you three minutes late you have missed it.

I LOVED LEWY! He made class so much fun. He's very passionate about geology, so much so, that I decided to change my major to geology. I took the lecture and the lab, and both classes were exciting. You learn a lot. He's very helpful and laid back. I highly recommend Lewy. He is FANTASTIC. He wants you to pass, and you will as long as you study.

Come to class on time the quizzes are RIGHT the minute class starts, if you three minutes late you wont be able to take it maybe. His tests are hard and final but he does make an EXTREMELYYYY boring subject as interest as possible. Hes a great guy and very fun, what he's teaching not so much. I would recommend him.

Lewy was my chem teacher in high school and i've been in love with him ever since. He's so amazing and a wonderful teacher. Not to mention handsome and sexy ;) I received an A in this class and did not have to take the final. Tests are pretty easy. Buy the book if you want a for sure A. i love him

He is hilarious and fun teacher! It was a joy to take his summer class even tho it was at 8AM. Never boring. Beware of those quizzes and study for the exams. He is the only teacher that made me re-consider my major. Textbook is not a must. Paying attention is important!

Great teacher and very funny. This class is extremely hard this is coming from a 3.0+ student. Do well on the quiz those are easy, but the test are extremely hard. Try to get an A, so you wont have to take the final because the final is hard. Don't need to buy an expensive book because any Geology is good.
