Very very nice guy! great person, but the class is super boring!! he tries to keep it interesting but its not, this is the only class i had to fight to stay awake in, which was extremely hard. he knows his stuff but th tests are HARD! I tried hard and still got a C

Comment:

Really down to earth professor. Willing to work with students to ensure they did the best they could. Study your maps, read your book and take notes in class and you will be fine. You'll leave with a great grasp of World Geography. Go to class, it may seem monotonous however it will help.

Dr. Martin is one of the best teachers at Kutztown. Very friendly and willing to help. Goes slow when he knows when to and speeds up at the easy stuff. He is very informative in his field and wants to share his information!

This guy really is one of the best at KU, and knows his topic extremely well and is always willing to help out I've had him for GEG274/275 and GEG 330 (Intro and Advance GIS) he is a fair grader. The subject of GIS is confussing but Dr. Martin is in his office a ton and has his door always open to questions, so take him if you get the chance!

Dr. Martin is one of the best professors here at KU; those who aren't in majors that have to take GIS won't know it, but he is such a stand up guy and really knows his stuff. His lecture classes can be boring but he grades well.

Nice guy, but seriously boring. I could hardly bring myself to go to his class. Attendance isn't mandatory, but you need to go if you want to pass any of his tests. The map part is easy, but the rest is completely useless knowledge about countries. His constant use of mmmk is funny at first but gets ANNOYING as all hell. I would NOT take his class.

mmmk martin is one of the nicest teachers i ever had. he really knowns what hes talking about. lectures are extremely boring take notes and read the book a couple times and you will do fine. gives extra credit if class attendance is low and a extra credit test. i liked him alot if you want to learn geographic take him. mmmmk

this class is very hard. Tests are multiple choice but only the map part of it is easy. 50 questions about random things in the countries but i dont know where he gets the questions from. SO hard. He gives extra credit every now and then but im trying my hardest and only have a C

Dr. Martin is a GREAT teacher! He is very friendly and knowledgeable. Although the class subject might be dry, Dr. Martin adds his stories which makes the class understandable. I enjoy going to his class! Highly recommended! :)

He knows his stuff. It'd be good to love geography coming into it and be good memorizing maps. Cannot stress this enough, READ the book and take notes on it, a lot of the questions are things he doesn't go over in the powerpoint. Pay attention to what he writes on the board. Curves and extra credit is generous, great class if you're not a slacker.

Good but boring professor. Lectures seem to drag on forever. I would not recommend taking this TH. He is very knowledgeable and seem to know about everything. Would be a good prof in a smaller more interactive class. Test are difficult even if you have an interest in the material. Read the text as many of the questions are not covered in lecture.

As a person, he's an alright guy...but his lectures are BORING and DRY. Thank God attendance is not mandatory. He puts all the slides he teaches from online in a library folder before tests. Tests are very hard though! He gives extra credit. Reminds me a little bit of Santa. He says "mmkay" after nearly every word though--amusing but then annoying.

Had him for Economic Geography, this is a great class for business majors to fill there required geography credit. A lot more interesting material about freight cost and things like that instead of staring at a map and learning where kazizistan's capital is. He is a great prof. He also give a review sheet prior to exams that help a lot.

He's an absolutely nice guy, but his class is very boring. If you love geography, this class is for you. The only problem I have with this guy is that he says "mkay" after everything he says. It gets annoying, seriously.
