I DO NOTT recommended, he takes forever to grade and is a tough grader. His lectures are dragged and expect homework due every class (losts of it). Class participation matters and attendance is ridiculously mandatory. He thinks he is funny but isnt but atleast he tries to teach how to become a better writer. (With the many essays we had to write)

Robert Mohrenne is not an average type of professor that really helps you understand things. You must already know how to do his work the way he wants it. He takes off points for each and every little mistake you make. I found his class hard especially since work is always due. You'll never have a break without doing work. I dont recommend him.

Professor Mohrenne was one of the best English teachers I've ever had. He is nice and caring and wants you to do well, but yes you need to put in a little effort. He is always there if you need help!

He worked with me till the very end, and helped me get my grade up. He understands what students are going through, and knows that things happen. He's also super open with the class and tries to form a bond with everyone. I loved every second of the class.

The class involved plenty of homework but other than that I learned a lot about writing a good essay. He gives good feedback on the essays that actually help. He doesn't give long lectures so it's more class discussion oriented. Definitely recommend taking his class if you get the chance.

He is an awesome professor. All you have to do is show up, give the same respect he gives you, do the work, and you'll be fine. He is not a though teacher, you just need to pay attention and ask questions if you don't understand something.I really recommend to take him in English class.

He is a nice guy but assigns homework due almost every class. He grades essays a bit harsh due to the fact he grades SAT's and FCAT writing. The homework is easy but time consuming and a waste of time.

Homework is below high school level, but it eats up so much of your time. He assigned more tasks than other professors teaching the same class. This class will eat up your time for no reason.

Homework and the way class is set up is a bit ridiculous and redundant. Homework consists of reading things that'll help you write essays. Class consists of peer review and discussion about how to write better, even though upon following instruction you're still marked off. Nice guy. Lots of writing. Lots of revision. RIP to your printer.

Mohrenne is a good guy. He's funny and is very fair. His class is mostly class discussions. His homework is annoying and tedious but it's not too terrible. He grades homework easy though. It's an automatic B with no effort and an automatic A with effort

The amount of work he gives is ridiculous. He gives you useless readings with tons of questions on top of all the papers you have to write for the class. I am a double major, and this gen ed class gives me more work than both my majors combined.

Mohrenne really wants to see students succeed, so take advantage of office hours and show up for class. He's funny, but barely lectures; mostly class discussion. Finals usually consist of something easy and food. Work hard; don't screw around or slack off and expect to pass. Took him for 1102 and he's still my favorite English professor.

Absolutely awful. Millions of long assignments, several a week. Gordon Rule requires 6000 words. I wrote more than that in the first 2 weeks.

during the fall spring terms, be prepared to write 3-5 page essays every week. he spends way to long on one essay also, each time you go to turn somehitng in its just a revision of the essay before.

This professor is the absolute WORST professor I have EVER had the displeasure of taking. He assigned 33 writing assignments for a 6 week course, MORE than half weren't graded when semester ended, posted assignments the day before they were due. Has NO consideration for the student's need to balance school, work and home life. DO NOT TAKE HIM!

Worst instructor i've ever ever had. He makes you want to avoid class. Gives ridiculous assignments and explains nothing. Class time is spent by him talking about extremely general writing topics and peer review. Grades very harshly and takes forever to get grades out.

How this guy is still a professor at UCF is beyond me. He grades the essays way too hard while he himself has the writing ability of a toddler.
