He has just posted few YouTube links for his course content. He doesn't teach anything and neither has any presentations or notes that could be helpful. Textbook is online, which I don't prefer and fee is included in course, so you have no choice. Quiz have infinite attempts unless you get an A. Didnt gain anything from this course.

You'll want to take Professor Bob, if you have a chance. He's an excellent teacher. The course is taught in tandem with his lectures to full time students so you actually get a classroom feel to the online program. One of the best taught courses in the online program. Strongly recommend Prof Bob.

Comment:

There are two grades in this course- the mid-term and the final. That being said, I loved it. This class paralleled and on-campus class, so online video lectures were available every week. Powerpoints are available for every chapter. Homework is optional, but recommended as it makes the tests much easier. Best professor I have had at UMass.

Comment:

Although he bases the grade on two exams, which initially made me nervous, he gives you ample time to complete the exams and he answers questions. He is an amazing professor! His lectures are excellent, clear and interesting. I learned so much in his class and he inspired my interest in economics.

A great professor. Online lectures are clear and entertaining. Two open book tests which you're given multiple weeks to complete. Homework is assigned to help you learn the material but its not collected or graded. Prof made economics as enjoyable as possible. I wish more classes were like this.

Professor Nakosteen is an old fashion charmer. His classes are chalk, blackboard and him. Its a fantastic experience. I am an engineer and perusing MBA and he has ignited in me a deep attraction to the subject of economics. Great charming personality. If you listen to the lectures, and take notes, and understand the subject matter it is an easy A!

Phenomenal experience with this professor in 2 different courses. 1) Statistics (#650), & 2) Economics (#644). His lectures are fabulous. There is flexibility to work at your own pace. He does not micro-manage the course with any required discussion list postings. Learn the material the way he teaches it in his lectures & you'll do fine.

Took course Spring 2012. Excellent prof. His videos are so good and helpful. Only 2 tests, open book--he gives you days to complete them. Turn in homework, ungraded-- only to show you did it. I made an A+ but I have a strong math background (calculus). If your algebra is rock solid, you should be able to get an A if you study.

I wasn't sure how I was going to learn Statistics online but Prof. Nako's vidoes helped me ease into the course. He answers your questions within 12 hours with a high level of clarity. If you do the homework, you should get an A in this class. I definitely recommend Dr. Nako.

Best course ever! I got a very intuitive basis in stats and had fun; a rare gift. Prof Nako is amazing. best prof I have had; a genuinely gifted teacher. Very responsive! If you posted a question it was answered right away. 2 exams and a homework portfolio (solutions manual is provided). Exams are pretty easy as long as you watch the posted lectures which are broken up into 5-20 minute intervals. Not bad, good professor considering such a dull topic (stats).
