Jeez, this rating is from a course in...1976! Dr. Bob had just started working, and we loved 'em! He was so cool, in jeans and work boots, longish hair and a very engaging lecturer. He introduced us to research and a science passion. Some went to medical school, and some pursued careers in chemistry. I wish we had kept in touch. John Dornan

Such a shame that he's retired because Dr. Bob made chem my fav subject.Got an A- and barely opened my text, laughed all class, understood most of the material without even feeling like i was learning anything. Very interesting teaching style but i loved going to chemistry.Has a bright mood and very interesting..uhh.. chem shirts,very entertaining

AWESOME TEACHER! Even though he is really hard, I LOVED his class. The course meterail is hard, but he makes the class very interesting. You can't get an easy mark in his class. If you want to do good, you have to stay on task and work REALLY HARD! i did okay on the tests but i better on the final. He really makes sure that u learn. I RECOMEND taking this teacher!

Bob's class is just about the most entertaining of the science regime! If your going to be studying chemistry, this guy really knows his stuff and he is very approchable. A strong warning, this is not an easy class, though well explained, the material has gaps and you will find it difficult without hours of practice. advice? GO FOR HELP EARLY!

Onto his 42nd class of org. students and he knows it! Some will call him arrogant, some funny, some approachable (or not), some hard or easy and some just plain crazy! I call him great! He is almost always available for help and his test are fair. A very good prof to be taking org with; Thanks Bob!

Tests are very hard and very long. When I took the course there was no problem set booklet like the lower level chem courses, so I never found there was enough practice problems to do. I found he explained the topics decent and was approachable but I found him to be smug and a bit cocky.

Bob's a nice guy but i just don't like the way he teaches. Yeah, he gives you examples at the beginning of the class and then goes over it but he doesn't go over the concept so it's really confusing for some people. If you want someone who goes over everythin step by step, then u shouldn't take him.

Bob only helps you if you ask. So ask already! And learn to be quick at solving problems because his exams are usually very long. He can be very confusing because he does not do things the same way the text shows. I didn't read my text at all after week 2 and I got an A.
