Very caring professor, he really wants his students to pass and gives lots of opportunities for marks (if you go to class). Labs are challenging only because ArcMap often doesn't save your work. Nice class for students who have fear of finals, as there is no midterm or final! Just a cumulative map project.

Some people consider the class boring, but he does try his best to make it interesting. Clicker quizzes every lecture, and you NEED to go to labs. It was assignment heavy- no exams. Just be ready to learn the ArcMap program, and understand that at one point you will lose an entire assignment because of a glitch. It happened to everyone.

Sharpe is the cutest prof ever. He rocks the map sweaters with style and I highly recommend getting into one of his classes. He is genuinely passionate about his subject (and walkability of the city). He makes lecture material relevant through actual experience and field studies (which is rare to find in university). Sweetest man ever - cares a lot. Crystal clear teaching. You HAVE to go to class because there's no textbook. Study hard for the final; you learn way more than you realize you did.
