I wasnt very interested in History until i took this class. I thought it was going to be very boring at first, but he really gets the class into interesting conversation. Raise your hand and you'll have a much better time!! I really loved this class, Mr. Strayer was awesome!

Probelby the best history teacher on campus. Tons of reading and a few quizes, plus three papers. Do it and you will get an A for sure. Work hard and he will like you and treat you with respect; be lazy and he will ridicule you accordingly. Best professor i've had this far.

Strayer's class was a great experience where I learned a great deal. He is a fantastic lecturer. The readings can be a bit difficult to get used to (they were afterall written 1k years ago). His ability to keep a students interest whilst also having control of the class (be respectful, not tardy, etc) is inspiring. Truly a great instructor!

Wow what a burn out! Im surprised he can make it to class every day. He can be very demeaning to students who are struggling in his class. As long as you read his book and type up a good study sheet the class is an easy A.

Lectures are long. He is old school. Don't expect to learn anything from Mesoamerican. He is realy eurocentric and orientalices American indiginous groups. He needs to add more students participation in the class. You will defenetly go to his class and fall sleep if you are a critical historian. Mostly the ones who like him are liberal studies.

Lectures can be boring, but he really loves what he does. Shows a lot of interesting history films. Pop-quizzes once a week. 2 essays for the semester. Mid-term and a final. Make sure you at least look at the reading or he'll know you didn't do it.
