Seems like an interesting guy but his class is super boring. Hes monotone and lectures with no engagement with the students at all. Tests are very specific & even after making my own flash cards I got low 70s on my test. Class is made up of 3 tests, 5 HWS for 1 overall HW grade, and participation. He does have some extra credit available.

He has a very monotone and dry voice. He knows what he's talking about but I just found the class to be confusing because for most of the course you have to focus on the slightest differences between one hominid and another. Do you know what a hominid is? Neither do I and I just took the class. Just good luck.

The lectures can be very difficult to sit through and the power points are usually incredibly disorganized. The textbook is also pretty irrelevant to the class so be sure to take good notes during the lectures. The tests are all multiple choice and he gives you a study guide before every exam, so I just memorized flashcards and was fine.

Dr. Wall is a great professor! He wont try to entertain you (as some teachers do) or spoon feed you information, but if your actually really interested in physical anthropology he will help you. Very knowledgable professor in the field, and his lectures are very informative.

Gives a ton of extra credit. You have to work hard to get a good grade but is very generous with bumping you up. Tests aren't terrible, all multiple choice. The class overall is dry and not too interesting

He would often say highly controversial statements as fact even by another Christian's standards. He was unclear of what he wanted for A level work, saying that an A is "superior college level work" meaning he wanted to be impressed but had no examples of said work - making many papers impossible to get full credit on.

DO NOT take this class. A million slides and 3 tests with a few hw and 5 pts worth of extra credit. VERY lecture heavy and so many words to memorize it is insane. The professor seems nice and laid back but just an extremely boring class that is not even easy. Take another class.

Super monotone so it was impossible to stay awake throughout most of the class. The worst part was participation was apart of the grade. There are 3 exams and a few hw assignments so if you fail one test it is very difficult to bring your grade up. He offers extra credit but even then I had to withdraw because the class was so hard. Lecture heavy.

Very monotone and boring. Complete class is a lecture with no participation from students. I hate to be that person almost falling asleep or doing other work but I couldn't help it. Some of the info is interesting but there was too much emphasis on "sites." He seems nice. Final was 50 Qs, 40 were true/false. Who does that?

He's a nice guy, but the tests are hard. Sometimes he curves the exams, depending on how well people do. You definitely do have to study. Lots of opportunity for extra credit, which can bump your grade a whole letter grade. 3 exams including the final, and a few homework assignments. It's pretty straight forward and he's helpful and approachable.

He is such a nice and helpful teacher, but the class is hard. There is so much information and its hard to pay attention because he is monotone and the information is very dull. Tests are very straight forward, but you NEED to study. There are many extra credit opportunities which can really help your grade, don't take this class if you want an A.

Class is pretty boring, the information isnt the most exciting either. Tests are really tough, but he gives extra credit which can boost your grade one letter grade. I was able to get a B with the extra credit and was extremely grateful. He is extremely intelligent, he wrote the textbook.

Professor Wall is the sweetest man. He wrote the textbook and has so much passion for this subject. He is extremely knowledgable and if you need help he's totally willing to meet with you. Tests are really hard but he gives study terms and has a study session that help a ton. He says attendance matters in the syllabus but it doesn't really.

Professor Wall really knows his stuff. However, there is just so much material it is hard to be 100% prepared for his tests. If you go to him he will answer your questions. This class just requires a lot of self teaching and memorization. The lectures are long and boring and the book is just as boring. Everyone got a C on the first test.

Amazing professional in his field! This guy knows his stuff. I studied my a** off for this class and got out with an A. Study hard and complete the extra credit discussions. Lectures are very monotone and have a lot of info to take in at once- I just would come to class and do homework during the lecture and self teach later. Very helpful prof.
